Joining the Belly band :yeahthat: Yeah, Toby is fixing to be a rock star and join the belly band. Lol. Cause I fail to catch him and he marks everywhere. I have no other male dogs and he is neutered, so I don't know what his major malfunction is. All I know is the embarrassment is about to switch hosts from me being embarrassed about my house smelling like urine to him having to be embarrassed about wearing a stupid cloth belt around his business. And just to rub it in I'll get some really whack designs on it. Anyone have any advice on which ones work best?also I saw a P Pocket/ brief thing that didn't look quite as ridiculous... Are those as effective? |
One of my two males has worn a belly band most of his two years. He is neutered but simply doesn't mind peeing on himself or anything else. We've used two kinds of belly bands sold on Amazon or at Petsmart, but the rest I've made myself because he's got a long, narrow waist and when he scratches his back, the band scoots down too low (his sprinkler system becoming free to christen anything nearby). We also buy human bladder-control pads and cut them to size, sealing the open edges with paper medical tape so the gel crystals won't leak out. It's tedious, but it helps keep his skin dry and rash-free. Good luck with your little boy-bander. :umbrella: :):xfingers: |
I cant tell you which ones work best but I can offer to make them for you. Mine are made of your choice of cotton fabric and a cotton pre-quilted fabric to help soak up and contain the urine. Its the same ones that I use for my male when my female comes into season and they worked great. He's 12 and still marks. If you are interested visit my Bella Dawn's site below. :) |
