can't make up my mind on which dog food to choose. I had my yorkie on nutro ultra small breed puppy but she completely lost interest in it so I was wondering if I should put her on blue buffalo wilderness small puppy or if I should put her on royal canin yorkshire Terrier... Allie is 8 months old and weighs 2 1/2 pounds.. any information would be greatly appreciated tia. (: |
I don't think you can really go wrong with either...others I like better are Natures Logic, Solid Gold Wee Bits or Barking At The Moon, Nature's Variety, Wellness, Acana. |
Don't forget they do go through a fussy period around that age. She's no longer growing like she use to and doesn't need as many calories. I would not try Blue Buffalo, they seem to have problems quality control issues, and Joey developed massive brown tearing after using their product a few days. We were using Royal Canin for Yorkshire terriers and was happy with that, until they did an ingredient change and no longer using chicken meal as the first ingredient, but use brewers rice and chicken by product instead of muscle meats. We've been on Nature's logic for 3 months now and have been very happy with it. They have been fussy eaters and really love it. It's not sold at Petsmart, but their website will let you know where you can buy it locally. We started buying it online at chewy, which has very competitive prices. I wouldnt touch blue buffalo with a 10 foot pole. One person on here had a dog get sick from the food and when she called the company they said it was probably to many life source bits which apparently happens all the time! Since they are not fixing that pretty big issue what else are they not fixing. It was also being said that there ingredients were coming from China. They care more about advertising and promoting there product then there actual food. |

Now the problem I have is I live in florida now but will be going to northdakota and where I will be staying is kind of in the middle of no where so I don't know where I could get it. |

I gave my two wellness's small breed puppy. Never had issues with them. Have you looked into raw food? I've heard good things about it so I might change from Wellness to raw. |
I haven't heard of raw food but i will look into it now but I don't understand what the raw food is.? |
Another thing is that my little princess Allie was on nutro ultra and it went stale so I don't know if I should still slowly change her food giving her the stale stuff and new stuff or if I should just switch her over.? |
