Snow in hair It snowed today in New York so I decided to take Chloe out in my backyard for a few minutes so she can see snow. I put a jacket and sweater on for her. My question is, what do you put on for your yorkies in the snow? The snow started getting stuck in her hair so I took her inside. Am I suppose to use a snow suit and boots? |
1 Attachment(s) There really is no way to avoid the snowballs getting attached to the hair. A snowsuit and boots would work if they covered up all of the hair unless you use high boots. Katie loves to walk and play outside. If she is running and playing outside, I have used either a cashmere sweater or a jacket or coat that is made for performance sports in very cold weather. The weather has been unusually cold, so I have been using both a sweater and a coat when walking, since we usually walk often greater than thirty minutes. I use Musher's Secret on Katie's paws or fleece booties. They don't keep her paws dry, but they do protect her paws. She's a mess in the attached photo, but it reminds me of a time she was happily playing in the snow. |
I use little all in one pyjamas and little socks . |
When I was little, before dog clothes and puppy pads existed, our little 5lb yorkie used to go out without anything on and he'd be covered in snow when he came in. My grandmom would put him in the bath tub to warm him up and get the snow balls off, then wrap him in a towel and put him on the radiator. |
