Lily Has a Sensitive Tummy My Lily seems to have a very sensitive tummy. What have some of you used for pups with sensitive tummy to eat? I home cook and sweet potatoes give her runny poo. She even threw up Science Diet ID. Any suggestions? I am thinking rice and chicken for her. |
Wish you were getting more answers for this, darn. Have you thought about maybe contacting a Vet Nutritionist like Dr. Remillard? If you want to homecook, what about www.balanceit.com? |

I, personally, would substitute the sweet potato with rice - worth a try? And I always use white (rather than wholegrain - too rough, even for Big-Boy's tummy :D) plus how about the good old pumpkin (not sure about that, have never tried it, sorry!) :) Big hugs to you both, Rhonda - I know how worrying it can be xxx |
Pumpkin puree (the plain one, not the pie filling kind, that has spices). Boiled chicken with rice is also good. Wellness also has a simple ingredients line for sensitive tummies. Might give that one a try. |
Rhonda, I'm sorry I don't have any advice but I wanted to send (((Hugs))) to sweet Lily. I'm sure you'll find the right combination of foods for your darling girl soon! ;) |
I don't have suggestions but I do hope your baby feels better soon. |
In addition to my new little Yorkie I also have a little terrier/chi mix and she not only has a sensitive tummy but diabetes as well. Pumpkin puree always works for her as well as a little instant oatmeal has worked for her as well. I am so sorry your baby is having troubles. |

I'm not sure but I do hope you get answers soon for little Lily! |
Pumpkin works wonders for Sophie I just give her a teaspoon in the morning before she eats and she no longer gets a upset stomach |
I home cooked for years and it was always chicken, rice, sweet potato and peas and that worked for a long time and then suddenly my boy was super itchy! Turned out he had a chicken allergy and so I substituted lean ground beef etc... But it just got too inconsistent. His poop was loose so I would stop the sweet potato and use white potato and then something else would develop... It just got too tiring... So I found a life saver! Wellness brand limited ingredient dry food for small breeds... I use a little of that and I mix it with the vital grain free (it come in a tube like the fresh pet) they have the beef and bison one and the whitefish so u can switch it up. And I moisten the kibble with a little water. I have had great success! Perfect poop, perfectly happy and eager eaters and so easy and I have done tons of research and I feel confident with both products. |
