The things they do! Who knows why? lol Each dog has a water dish, always refilled, why do my big dogs, insist on drinking out of the 4 ounce Yorkie water dish? And why does my Yorkie try to stretch up enough to drink up out of the big dogs dishes? Why do they all of a sudden decide a toy is under a chair - and won't give up until I kneel down with the *flashlight* and I must have the flashlight and tell them NO there is NO dang Toy under my chair! Why is it only my socks, shoes, underwear, pants and stuff, that loved to get moved and or chewed upon? We have three toys for three dogs, all of the same manufacturer, why do they insist that only *one* toy is the one everyone wants? Now all my dogs accept grooming okay, but it is a hoot, when I bring one into the grooming room, and lock the other ones out... they lay by the grooming room door whine n cry, paws slink underneath the door.... I have given up they all come in, and I step over various dogs to get the *JOB* Done. And now there is the washroom, everything is fine when I leave the door open, everyone comes into visit, they all know there is NO EXIT from the washroom to outside - Moms is not going anywhere. But Gawd help me if I close the door - three dogs laying by the door, whining and crying, trying to push the door open, no blinkety peace at all. When you have company it becomes a bit dicey :D Well that is it for now. Add your own who knows why......... |
Lol sounds like my house my dogs will fight like they will kill each other. Usually boo over food. So i put him in cage. Princess then begs me to let him out . I give both an oinkie to eat but boo wants princesses. Hers always looks better. |
When my daughter came to visit,Moshe brought her Yorkie. I had only had mine for about a week. Her baby took all the toys onto the bed and laid on top of them so that my baby couldn't play with any toys. And people ask if dogs can be jealous. Hmmmm😳 |
hahaha very cute post :) Who knows why when I tell Teddy to 'get your bowl' for food he carries it - under the table or into his crate he then comes out from these spaces without his bowl and looks at me like, 'duh, where's my food?' crazy dog :p |
who knows? You are all so cute!!!...my moms Muffin knows what cupboard her dish is kept and is compulsive about times to eat, to go to work, to watch the news on tv, to go to bed, to shower and she will sit and stare at you by the cupboard with her dish in the doorway to the tv room, in the hall to the bedroom, and if you don't move by her clock, will bark to let you know she is still waiting! She is the boss of all of them even at her age. she knows her name and we can't even spell certain words cuz she knows that too. the toys are a kick and who's is what....she will take the ones that are "hers" and hide them under her cushion in her crate! When Muffin knows she should get a treat, she will look at Mom or you and do a little bum shake and shimmy two step. It is hilarious! course I guess you got to be her mom, huh! sorry I am so wordy...I love reading all of your posts and can't help myself! |
2 Attachment(s) Love this thread! Huey will take toy after toy out of his toy box until he finds one that I want to play with...meaning he will continue to bring me toys until I stop what I am doing and play with him. Being "indisposed" always means playtime. He brings me toys when I am in the shower and places them on my slippers. When he brings a toy, he doesn't just drop it, he whomps me in the foot with it & then dances away where I can't reach it. |
Who Knows...... When I ask Tyson if he is hungry he grabs a toy and runs over to the food bowl...why the toy????? |
I would love to hear more experiences with your pups. This thread is good for the heart😀 |
Laughing my head off at your babies antics and always enjoy reading about them, and it's all the more funny as we've all had almost exactly the same kinds of experiences - over and over and over. Just read somewhere in the last few days that a door is something a dog always wants to be on the other side of. To a dog, I guess, the phrase "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" is eternally true throughout most of of his day. |
I had to get a liner for my laundry hamper. Oliver was reaching into the vent holes with his little mouth and pulling the laundry out and trying to drag it back behind the end table. He took most of his toys back there, so when he's there and we look all we see are toys and not whatever he's dragged back there. :) |
My little girl has recently decided that if she can keep me from putting on my socks, I won't go anywhere. She tries to pull them off while I'm trying to put them on! All 2.5 lbs of body weight are pulling with all her might. I am discouraging this behavior but all the while I'm kind of laughing inside...lol. She's only 12 weeks so I'm sure she'll settle down. |
Peanut has a new thing he does. The first time he did it, I thought he was lifting his leg to pee on me. If I'm sitting with my foot pointed up a little he will walk up and lift his hind leg and straddle my foot so I can scratch his belly with my foot. Don't know if it's something I should encourage though as visiters may not thing it is so cute. |
love this thread |
Dutch loves treats but this one particular treat she has to always run around the house with the treat in her mouth and look for the perfect place to eat it. She will run upstairs and then back downstairs, under the chair, back into the living room and then eventually settles on eating the treat under her favorite chair. She only does this with this one particular treat. The other treats she eats right away. WHY? |
Who knows why 1 Attachment(s) When it’s yard playing time Cody is trying to dig his way to China!!!! Silly little boy. |
This is such a funny and fun post. I agree that it is wonderful finding the similarities in our sweet ones' behavior. Can't wait to read more. Piper is jealous of the laptop and of the backyard neighbor's Akitas (tell me!)--well, she's unhappy with anything or anyone the might even possibly divert attention from her...! First I get little growls and gruffs, escalating to sharp barks, then to be followed by super-cutesy, paw-picked Piper moves...begging to be picked-up, dance-y bounce, standing inside door with little baby whines, getting on pillow on her back and doing tiny air paws. Finally, "sneaking" between computer and me onto my lap. Siiighhh---I find her to be impossibly adorable through all her antics--good or not. |
The only crotchless underwear I've ever owned was courtesy of my Abigail...she takes them out of the laundry basket when I'm getting ready for work and chews on them while I'm gone. She also runs around with my husbands boat shoes - and they're bigger than she is! |
I love this thread!! Diva likes to take toys and hide them, but she stare at you to let you know that she's hidden the toy. So I get up and walk toward her like I'm going to get the toy and she grabs it and takes off. She also shoves her little Kong tennis balls underneath the sofa then whines and scratches and stares at me to get the ball. I have to get a broomstick to get under there so she follows me to the broom closet and proceeds to HELP me look for the balls under the sofa - getting in the way of course. Sometimes she'll do this and there isn't anything there so I'll find a ball and PRETEND I found it under the sofa and throw it. She takes off lightning fast for it. LOL |
I find this thread very funny. Lexi has a lots of toys. She has her favorite balls and a favorite stuffed Fugly. She has played a lot with it and done a fair amount of chewing on it so it is fairly tattered looking. She likes to sleep with it too, in our bed. She lets us know when she's ready for bed by bringing it up on the couch and putting it under her little head like a pillow. We get up to go bed, up the stairs, Lexi follows, leaving the Fugly on the couch. We get upstairs, she settles in on the bed, jumps up suddenly like saying 'oh, I forgot' goes downstairs gets the Fugly, brings it upstairs puts it on the bed and settles in for the night. ??? Why not just bring it up when she goes? Same thing in the morning. I get up, get showered dressed, etc. she follows me down the stairs. All of a sudden, up the stairs she goes, brings the Fugly down. It's like she forgets it, but always goes and gets it. |

So it is half time for the TV basketball game - score is really close - so I stand up to go get a drink or go to the bathroom - but Cali decides since I am up she just MUST go outside and check something important in her backyard domaine. Okay that is done - now we are back at the game and I just sat down - she now runs up frantically to tell me she MUST IMMEDIATELY go back outside ------ 1. She was just out there! 2. She uses piddle papers in the house! Go figure! |

Anything you would set down within her reach became hers, gardening gloves, car wash sponge (she loved sponges the most because they were so much fun to shred), hat, sunglasses... once I was trying to plant some flowers in my garden and she swooped in and grabbed every plant and took off with it. OMG I had a heck of a time getting those flowers planted. Lol |
I went outside to speak with the neighbor. I was only outside for about 4 minutes. I opened the door and my little one had Toilet papered the entire dining room! Needless to say I laughed first and then tried to say a firm NO while I pulled the TP out of her mouth and unwrapped my dining room table. I wish now that I had taken a picture. It was priceless...lol. |
Who Knows Why In between meals Cody gets a small portion of cooked fresh sliced carrots. He takes one piece of carrot at a time, walks 3 feet to rug by sink to eat it!!!!! lol, I get tired watching him. |
