Just checking in to let you know you are thought about today! |
Praying for Kendra and her precious soul Mack. Her absence concerns me, as it does all of us. They have both struggled so hard to get as far as they have gotten. Praying for strength and courage and guidance and peace going forward with this little soul. |
Hoping and praying. |
Kendra, I've somehow missed this about little Mack Brown & reading this thread just did my heart in. I can tell yours in broken, too. There is nothing worse than looking at your little one knowing he's ill & there's not much you can do right then to make him instantly well. That poor baby has been through so much and now still more. Mack's been such a little soldier, bravely handling all he's been handed with as much doggie grace as there is. Many, many prayers have and will be said for this sweet, special baby boy. For some reason, I still think of little Mackie as a baby, bless his little soul. |
Im sending prayers and good thoughts for your little guy |
I am so sorry I haven't checked back in. Mack is doing well. We ran a ton of test and just got back the final results this week... He apparently is clear!!! For now she said anyway. She said to keep a close close eye on him. Any unusual bump needs to be checked out immediately. So now, I find myself picking at him like a monkey. Scouring over ever inch of his body several times a day. She said it typically comes back and can consume his little body quickly if we don't get right on it. Luckily we removed the lesion before it had time to spread, so basically it's a waiting game. Mack has always been a waiting game though so nothing new there. His cheek is still oozing, and the "gash" is now the size of a piece of rice, but still refuses to heal. The vet thought perhaps he just heals slow, but his incision from his hernia repair and the seperate incision from the tumor removal have completely healed so we are still clueless. It has been bleeding since mid October, so just strange. Teeth are good, blood work shows no infection. Doesn't seem To bother him so I just continue to keep it clean and keep all the hair trimmed around it so it doesn't delay any healing. Thank you so much for your prayers. I strongly believe that your prayers have brought Mack through many triumphs. Honestly, there's no other logically explanation as to how he has survived. He turns FOUR in a week!! It's almost unreal.... My little blue born is going to see a new year!! Again, thank you all |
I am very happy to read that Mack is doing well! Keeping both of you in my prayers for continued good news, and looking forward to celebrating his next birthday. :) |
I wish you health and unending magical moments with your little boy. Mack has captured our hearts, too, and we will continue to pray for him. |
I am so happy to hear that Mack is doing well! After going through a scary time with Couver, I know how helpful YorkieTalkers have been through the whole process. Please keep us updated on his progress and when his wound heals. |
Oh such good news! Will keep him in prayers to keep the good luck going! |

I'd do some reading up on chronic wound diagnosis and care and see what you vet has to say about stepping up diagnostics on him to try to find out what underlying problem is causing his chronic wound infections, which, if not already, could cause an underlying osteomyelitis to develop if it hasn't already. |
I am so glad to read the more positive though still guarded update on Mack. I am glad he is doing better. I pray his wound will heal up and that you will enjoy many wonderful years with this sweet little boy. |
