Anyone having Ads Pop UP
 
Is anyone seeing ads when they are clicking onto posts. I keep having Good house keeping comming up. I think I might have a virus. Thanks

Mine is doing it to. On my iphone and iPad. It's driving me nuts. I deleted all history and blocked cookies and that helped.

I don't have any "pop ups" or any good housekeeping ads. Ad blocker worked pretty well on another computer I used, google it, find the right free version and click the right boxes as you load it and it is trouble free. As I recall, you have to opt out of something in it or it sends you notices... just read everything as you load it and you'll do fine.

'Lose weight with Oprah'...'Mens Health + Fitness' loads and loads of other stuff. It's usually when I click on a thread that I've been on before. Every couple of minutes, filling my whole screen....horrible.

ouch... in just those few seconds, something tried to pop up.... I blocked it....In my case it was a dialogue box, it wanted me to load something on my computer... I hit cancel... def not ok.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! It happens on my iPhone and iPad. I have to reload the page like 5 times and try to stop it before it redirects the page. It's not even really a popup, it's completely redirecting the page you're on to an ad. So when I hit the back button it takes me back to the forum home instead of the page I was reading. These ad companies are getting ruthless lol.

Sounds like it's mostly on phones???? I think I thwarted something odd this morning but I really don't know... chrome here!

I read on another forum to go to your internet browser like I have safari and clear the cookies and history. I did that and they stopped. I was having a terrible time with it on my iPad You will find safari are whatever in your settings. Just have your passwords close as you will have to re enter it all. Hope this helps

Do you guys already have Adblocker installed? For those using tablets, maybe installing something like malwarebytes might help?

*** If haven't installed Adblocker and you will, please keep in mind that you have to "pause" the app if you want to see a picture that's been posted. Otherwise, the app will prevent you from seeing the "pop up" screen.

Mine did that for a little bit before and I use Firefox with popup blocker. Could be a new way the advertising is working, they'll always try to use way to bypass blocks :P

I'm using firefox...that was happening to me couple of days ago when I visited YT w/out loggin in. For me, it wasn't an ad popping up, I was being redirected to another site! It was some ad for good house keeping w/Ellen & someone else (can't remember) on it.

Ran Malwarebytes & nothing came up. Cleared my cache for firefox & it stopped.
