pet insurance Hi, I'm new to Yorkie Talk! we're thinking of getting insurance for our healthy 6 month old 6 lb. cutie!:aimeeyork I haven't figured out how to post a pic or anything yet. I could hardly find where to post this! I think I've narrowed it down to Healthy Paws #1?? and Trupanion #2?? any thoughts? Pet Plan came in #3 because of their 'per condition' deductible...crazy! and Embrace not good as your pet gets older from what I've heard. I don't know about any other larger insurance companies. thanks! |
We have pets best. Very happy thus far. Good investment for you to consider. |
We have Embrace. Just added my 14 year old to the policy for a great rate so I'm not sure that it is true that Embrace isn't good for older pets. Previously, they only covered older pets for accidents and not illness but that changed. Good luck finding a plan that fits your needs. |
I have Healthy Paws and really like they way they do their deductibles. |
I have Healthy Paws. I chose it over Trupanion because I like the annual deductible. Look through the claim samples on the websites and see which one you like more. |
We have PetPlan for one and Embrace for the other. They are both good companies. PP is charging us a lot of money though (for a lot of insurance). So i put the old goat on Embrace. Offsetting with their wellness rewards makes her policy very cheap. |
Dang it you guys n gals in the States have so many choices. Here not so many |

Okay Embrace is not in Canada - bah humbug |
Just spoke with PetPlan $205.79 for Bronze coverage - $8000 annual vet cost limit. This was for my 9yr Blackie. And I did not even get into his pre-existing conditions which would not be covered! |
We have vpi |
