Rude and horrible vet!!
 

Hello everyone, I'm so mad right now and I feel this is the only place that will understand.

So today I found Rambo licking his tummy, so I turned him over and he had this blisters and redness all around. I got scared so I went to the vet, I am visiting my parents so I just went to this vet that is by their house and I know my dad takes his dog there. When the vet came in he was nice at first but in a hurry, he checked him and said the redness and blisters were because of his long hair around his tummy pee got caught and it irritated hin. Well he took my puppy and shaved him (without even asking me if I wanted to be there or hold him), came back and started to make a shot for him. I asked him if he knew where could I buy tape for his ears in town (they went down like 2 weeks ago), well he turned around and told me that because my puppy was a mix and didn't know what breed he was that they would probably never stand up. I told him that he was a Biewer and he then goes off telling me that there is no such thing as a yorkie with white and tells me I was probably scamed and bought a mix, which made me even more mad, because I have his papers from Germany and bought him from a reputable breeder. I just stopped talking because I was so mad and then he just inyects my puppy and held him so badly like he was a big dog, the worse thing is that when my puppy cried he wouldn't give him back at me! I had to take him away and tell him that I was done and left! I am so mad! I cannot wait to get back home to my nice and more educated vet!

I hope Rambo doesn't get any kind of reaction, I can't even sleep because I'm so worried. :thumbdown:thumbdown:mad::mad:

Wow! Sorry you had a bad experience:( What shot did he give him? Is there another vet around there you can take him to?

Hi I feel so bad that this Vet treated you and your pup so badly.

Me I would send him a note letting him know how you felt through his actions.

Then I would go find a Vet that will help your little buddy out.

Sometimes it's one of those things where you will never feel comfortable with him (her)

I am so sorry to hear about how your baby was treated :( He obviously has no idea what he is talking about. I would definitely write him a letter educating him and notifying him about how you feel. I hope he doesn't treat all of his clients like he treated you. I cannot imagine that he would be able to keep his business open if he continues the way he is going.

Wow, what a horrible experience. I find it so insulting when others feel I'm entitled to their opinion. I'm sorry you were not treated professionally by a clinician. I would have been upset, too.


At least you can find some peace in knowing that you immediately took your baby to be treated by a "professional" and that there is nothing seriously wrong apart from this vet's bed side manner!

Wow! I am sorry you (and Rambo) had to experience that!

I can sympathize with you on the purebred/mix arguement. I have a rare breed also and I really do get sick of the whole 'You've been scammed.' thing, too.

(I have Kelpies and German Coolies - no, they are NOT mutts!) ;)

I am so sorry that you had such an awful experience with that vet. He definitely needs some education. Hope you find a better educated vet to work with.
