Question for those who use vellus Why can't I find an ingredient list for this product? I want to see if the silicone in this product is different compared to the silicone in other products. It just says silicone based doesn't say what kind. And What do you use for a spray inbetween baths to brush and groom with everyday. Theirs is a prewash detangler or simply fragrance... Tis a bit confusing....appreciate any input😊 |
I use the static stabilizer and satin cream just about daily when I brush my dog. There is also Finish, but I have not used it. |

That's what my 2 beautician daughter in laws said anyway:) Do you use velux ? Know why they don't disclose ingredient list? That's all I could find on my searches.. |

The satin cream is great for topknots. Love the conditioner because it is effective yet mild, so I feel safe using it around Max's sensitive eyes. We need the gallon size though, and it is $90+. Saving our pennies at the moment. :D It is concentrated and can be diluted. A smaller bottle would go a long way, especially for your tiny girls. |
Regarding the ingredients -- I believe other people tried to get the list and the company said they could not release them because they are proprietary blends. They are worried about being copied. I believe they will answer if you ask if a specific ingredient is used. |
It's not on the bottle either then? Quote:

I have no proof, but I believe they are only trying to protect their products from being copied by competitors. As I wrote above, their conditioner agrees with Max's sensitive eyes, so I doubt anything bad could be in it. Nothing worse than any other dog hair product. They have been popular with dog exhibitors for a long time too. |
