Little Yorkie girl in a GA dog pound needs a home before 12/15 Hello, Just read this post in Facebook about a tiny Yorkie girl that's surrendered by her family cause they couldn't afford her *smh* There are lots of people wanting to adopt her, most of them wanting her for their kids cause of Christmas, and since the pound is just asking for $40 to give her away to the first person who gets there, it seems like a dangerous deal for that tiny baby. I wish I'd help her but I'm in Mexico, here's hoping that someone on this site is able to do it before Monday at 10am. This is the link and the info: Rome News-Tribune This miniature yorkie named Honey was surrendered today. The owners could not afford her. $40 adoption fee for dogs, $35 for cats. FCAC is located 431 Mathis Road. For more information call 706-236-4537 |

It looks like a lot people are interested, some of them yorkie owners. I so hope this little one finds a great home... |
I called the number and left a message, begging them to carefully evaluate any new owner they select....gave some parameters I use....hopefully, they will listen and not let this baby go to a home that is not in her best interest. |

 That was very good of you! |
Forwarded to the three local rescues I know, it does look like a lot of interest from individual adopters. |
I hope this has to do with the little girl in Georgia I would love to get her my son lives down here I've been calling the phone number but there's no answer , I have no children at home at all and I have a little Yorky that's five if so I think they would really get along |
I really hope she gets in the right home. I always am on pins and needles whenever there is a yorkie in a shelter that a rescue didn't get first. |
Today is the 15th....wonder if she got adopted? I think I will call them again tomorrow and see if they sent her out..... |
I hope she got adopted to a good home... You never know what type of people will adopt a cute puppy for Christmas and get tired of it before the New Year :( |

Me too, not that their isn't great owners going to Animal Control but usually Rescues have a better adoption interview/screening. Also Rescues are always more willing to educate future owners and pick the right family. |
