Collar trouble 1 Attachment(s) I need help. MY baby Prada has torn six collars in the last three weeks. I've tried cheap and expensive ones. It's getting scary because she has gotten loose outside but thank God she hasn't ran away from the house. My heart dropped. I almost lost my mind. Could it be do to her newly shaved body and the harness doesn't feel good next to her skin because the more I think about it, she didn't do this when she was full coat. Just got a new one today which seems to be working.. Had to get a smaller one because the old one became too big once she got shaved. Any ideas or suggestions of sturdy harness out there I could get? |

Cute! Seems to me that if she can chew it while it's on her then it may need to be tighter so her mouth can't fit under it. Maybe try and leave it on for stretches when you can watch her until she gets used to it. |
I would not be leaving her outside unattended. |
You could try the buddy belts. It seems like a lot of yt Like them, there made of leather so I would think a lot harder to chew apart. They come in lots of different sizes I'm sure the yt store member will help you chose the correct size. |
I would not leave it on her unless y'all are using the leash and in those cases you should be with her to see she is chewing it and say no. Harness are to uncomftable to wear all the time and that could be one reason she chews it off. I would also suggest a buddy belt. |

She's not TIED up outside. You making it sound like she's tied to a tree my gosh. I love my babies. She's on a long leash playing in the yard with her brother dog. She can walk the entire perimeter of the yard. I can watch through my window every few minutes. I normally don't leave her harness on her. But when I'm not home and my sons let them out, they leave it on. But if this one fails, I will try the buddy belt. Thx |

I don't understand. First you said collar and then you said harness? Did I read it wrong? It does sound as though the haircut could be a factor. Whatever you are using could be rubbing on the skin. But if your other dog is not leashed it could be she wants to have the same freedom as the other dog and tries to get out of the restriction. If your other dog is also on a leash how do you keep them from getting tangled up? |

1 Attachment(s) I'm telling you that within 15mins of them being outside she was out that harness. And it was brand new. First time in it. But I must admit there are some things I could have done better. I love my Prada & Polo and my heart skipped a beat that day she got loose. And to gracielove I did say collar but I meant harness. But the Zebra harness I posted seems to be working fine. Here are some others she tore up. The green on is a piece of a harness she tore up. Think I threw the other piece away. And the purple one is a collar she had a long time ago that she started chewing on so I took it off and got another. New had anymore problems with a collar. Guess she didn't like that one. |
