How big? At ten Weeks Wolfie is 3.4 Pounds. How big do you think he will get. |
Maybe 6-9 lbs or so...? |
Thank you. I was hoping he would be a little on the bigger side. |
At that age my Yorkie was almost 3lbs and now at 10 months she's 8lbs. Do you guys think she'll get bigger? |
It is really hard to predict the size of a puppy at maturity without knowing the ancestry of the pup. Breeders who line breed sometimes can make an estimate because they know the background of the line and how they generally mature but it is still just an estimate. If you got your pup from a breeder that does not keep track of the genetic history of their dogs then it is a huge guess because the gene pool is so large. They can produce large and small pups in the same litter. A puppy that is already 3.4 pounds at 10 weeks probably is going to be somewhat larger than 6 pounds but how much larger is going to be unknown until he is over a year old. |
Sammy was close to that size at that age. He is about 13lbs! Lol according to the size charts you can find online, he tracked at being 10lbs. |
My Roxie is 4 yrs old and barely weighs 3 lbs. All her siblings were much larger than her. Any one know how that happens? |
I don't think there will ever be a way to say how big a yorkie will get you just never know. |

Yeah, I agree. But the vet thought he would be close to the 10 pound mark. I hope so. |
How big will my Yorkiepoo get? My Yorkiepoo puppy is 7 weeks old and weighs 3 lbs. The breeder estimates that he'll be 8 lbs full grown and says on average her yorkiepoos are 5-8 lbs adults. Being that he weighs 3 lbs at 7 weeks how big do you all suppose he will get? I have a feeling he'll easily exceed 8 lbs. Additional information that may or may not be helpful: -His sister from a previous litter is now a 9 lb. adult. -His mom is a Toy Poodle -His legs aren't long in fact they're pretty short. Overall, he has a stocky frame. |
We got Sophie when she was 3 1/2 months old and she weighed 2.2lbs. She is now 13 months and weighs 5.2. She got a little bigger than the breeder thought she would get but I am glad she did. She is not delicate she is a real monster!!!! :D We do love her so.. |

Our Cassie was a toy poodle/chihuahua (mom) and pomeranian (dad) mix....she showed attributes of all three breeds...it was wierd. She looked like a chihuahua with a pomeranian snout and a curled tail....her hair was fawn and black and medium length. Mom was 9 # dad was 7# and she never made it to 4 pounds in her entire 13 years. It's extremely hard to tell when you have mixed breeds what they will be when they are adults...but they sure can be cute! |
My 9 week old male yorkie is 3.8 lbs. I expect him to be a very large yorkie 12 lbs maybe?? |
