first yorkie need help dry circular skin inside ear Ok I've never owned a dog and my first is a yorkie he's a really good dog. He is 9 months old and I noticed him scratching his ear I just adopted him three days ago. I look inside his ear and there's a dry circular area I don't know what it is or what I should do he doesn't have any ear mites please help! I can show a picture as well |
Welcome to YT, you adopted the dog 3 days ago, the first thing you do is take the dog to a vet for a full check up ASAP, to ensure the dog is healthy. I have to assume this was not done. It is impossible for anyone on line to know what your new baby may have. When it comes to dogs ear, a vet visit is an absolute must. Please take this new little baby to a vet faster then ASAP. |
Straight to the vet |
Welcome to Yorkie Talk and congratulations on the new doggy addition to your life. Could be an ear infection that would be easy to fix now with meds from the vet. If ear infections are not treated, they can become serious problems. |
Agree with others. The only thing I would add is to ask friends that have dog/cat for reference to a good vet. |
Up date on your baby please, have you found a vet and scheduled a visit. Ear infection if that is what it is, left unattended can lead to more severe and very painful problems for this lil baby. Please update us. |
My account got banned for no reason....anyway here's a picture of his ear imgur: the simple image sharer He's up to date on shots and everything I made an appointment for Friday hoping it's nothing.... |

Thank you! |
Ring worm is kind of a reddish circular area on the skin. Whenever you get a new pet it is best to have it seen as soon as possible by a vet. There is no way any of us could tell you for sure what it is or how to treat it. You just don't know what your new pet has been exposed to before he came to your home. Since it is bothering him it is best you get it treated before it gets worse. |
