Questions about attending dog show (just to watch) I've not been to a dog show before and there is a local AKC event coming up close by. It appears to be all breeds and is hosted by a local kennel club. I'd like to go watch the yorkies specifically - DH will not sit thru all the breeds! I can't find a schedule however. Are there normally several breeds shown at once in diff spots (depending on venue)? Is it casual enough that we can come and leave or does one need to be seated at the beginning? Any viewing tips for a novice observer here? I have no plans to try and ever show myself, but am interested in how it is done. Thanks! |
Is there a phone number you can call to ask the kennel club? I haven't been to any dog shows outside of the county and state fairs that we have here in Western WA. Those ones are always good but very casual to come and go as you please. |

Thanks for the link. I usually do a search before I ask a question and this time did not or would have seen this. Very helpful info. |
