Safe & Secure reminder. I went to my a Township hall to pay my sewer bill and ran into a lady I've not seen in a couple of years. About three years ago, her yorkie was accidentally let out of the house while she had a worker visit her home to fix a broken furnace. The worker kept going in and out of the house to his truck for tools and parts and at some point her yorkie slipped out the door unnoticed. She received another yorkie through me shortly thereafter (a friend of a friend was told to get rid of hers by her husband...grr..I know...). But anyway, while this lady that received the yorkie, Bella, is really glad to have her, she is still tormented by the fact that she doesn't know what happen to her yorkie, as even though she plastered the town with flyers and posted online, she was never found. It was heartbreaking to look at this lady and see how torn up she still is because she doesn't know what happened to her baby. So, just a reminder, with winter about here, and furnaces running, please be super cautious if you have repair people come to your home. |
Thank you for this reminder. I always put my babies in another room with door shut, that is my greatest fear. How very sad for this poor lady, never knowing what happened to her lil baby. I pray someone found her, and as awful as this may sound, I hope that baby has a good home. This breed rarely gets returned, unless it's found by a true dog lover. My ex hair stylist found a lil female yorkie, she knew how much I loved my yorkie, she was all excited to see me to tell me she found this beautiful lil girl, I got very upset with her, told her she should do everything she can to find the owner. she shrugged her shoulders. I walked out of the salon and never went back after 12 years of using her. Ppl see a loose yorkie, all they see is expensive breed, and keep it. One look in a yorkies eyes is all it takes to fall in love with them. Everyone that reads this, PLEASE always guard your babies. |
We just had construction done upstairs for two weeks. Although I know Callie never goes out the door I was still scared it could happen so I set up her playpen pieces to block off half of the house and we had the workers come in through the other side and we had no issues. That is very sad though. I'm crazy when it comes to workers and Callie's safety. |
How sad :( Makes you really wonder what happened to that poor baby. This is why I have both my back and front yards fenced. |
