Favorite Shampoo/Conditioners I've been using the Chris Christensen day to day shampoo/conditioner and been happy w/ it but it's almost gone, and I wondered if I should buy something new just to try or stick with what I like. Chris Christensen Shampoos and Conditioners - Cherrybrook Any suggestions? Jackson obviously has short hair so don't need much in terms of de-tangling, etc, but I really like shampoos where the smell lasts a long time even a few days after a bath. So strong, I also do like that cologne-y type smell a bit. I do like vanilla scents and coconuty smells. Anyway was looking at Dog Shampoos and Conditioners - Petology - Cherrybrook and Aroma Paws Luxury Shampoo and Conditioner - Cherrybrook Didn't know if anyone tried these or had other suggestions. |
I really like Yorkie Splash and Shine. Smells amazing and leaves the hair sooo soft for days. |
I like Nootie warm vanilla cookie. It's weird though because the smell lasts several days on Callie but not Sammy. |

I've been trying all sorts of samples from Iv San Bernard (from the lovely LisaLy), and I gotta say - they are all AWESOME. |
I use essential oils for a lot of things. A friend gave me some dog shampoo & conditioner, and while the products work ok, they have little to no lingering smell. They are huge bottles, so I poured some of each into smaller bottles that will fit better in my shower and I added a few drops of Lavender oil to each bottle and shook it up! They smell amazing! And the scent lingers days longer after a bath. I plan on adding Sandalwood to the next set I mix up. And will decide which I like best for the third batch, or maybe try a different oil altogether. Anyway, what about adding essential oils if you have a product you like, but aren't too crazy about the smell? |

:) Brit, I looooove Earthbath shampoos....especially the Mango Tango combined shampoo/conditioner - smells good enough to drink! :D Welcome :: earthbath® - totally natural pet care - they sell it on Amazon, too :) |
Brittany, I vote for staying with CC Day to Day for the great effect on the coat and the lasting scent that you like. I prefer much lighter scents, which is why Day to Day didn't work for us. :p Quote:

Switched from Walmart's Green Apple & Vanilla ProPet to John Paul's Oatmeal Shampoo and also the conditioning spray and lovin it! Kenzie isn't itchy anymore (may be the Aloe, Chamomille in it) and it smells very good. |
Right now I am using Pet Head products for Cali. They smell great! |

I've been using oils off over twenty years, on myself, kids and both dogs I've had. Even ZoE's vet recommends the use of essential oils for anxiety and digestive issues. Only issue I see is maybe people buying cheap junk knockoffs i.e. Made in China immitations. Quality 100% pure oils are pricey (but you use drops so they last a very long time). |
I like the Pet Silk Rain Forest. It leaves Peanut's coat very soft and smelling good for days.:) |
