Licking people?? Sheldon was a nipper as a young pup, but he learned quite quickly with a "no biting" command not to nip. I'm thrilled he stopped so easily. Problem is, he replaced it with licking. It seems like it's affectionate, but I may be "humanizing" him...lol. He licks A LOT., and mostly tries to get face. I find it endearing, but I'm sure most guests won't (right!), so I know I need to curb it. Any suggestions? |
Hiya! Teddy has also started licking CONSTANTLY. After licking for half an hour, he then progresses to humping lol! I have found that a stern NO and removal of the object of affection (hand, foot or face) works very well. The key is to being consistent which is hard because my mood is not consistent. I like my feet being licked after a hard day! |
Lol, all 3 of mine are MAJOR kissers, lickers...so I've no good advice for ya other than, hope you enjoy lots of kisses! :) |
I have a licker! Jonah licks anything and everything including faces, arms, legs etc., especially if I have been cooking. He ruined a velvet comforter by licking it! I Have no solutions. He does lick when there is something to lick; sometimes just sweat other times lotion. |
I wish you luck in getting him not to lick mine are 10 and I hate to be licked in the face but just accepted they are yorkies and going to do it |
Lexi is a licker too. I don't mind a little licking, but my husband is not a fan. Of course, her favorite place to lick is the face! My son who is 3, will just sit there and let her lick him so Lexi loves it when he wakes up in the morning! |
