Hello everyone! Its been awhile since Ive been here. I am working on a new life (single) and have a new home with Charlie Brown of course. He is learning what it means to live "Apartment Life" not an easy task. he was used to being able to bark when he wanted and now ....... well lets just say I have learned "NO BARK" along with a threat of a spray bottle has helped. LOL We live in a pet friendly complex so there are allot of small dogs (yorkies included) Charlie has been very friendly with everyone except the female that lives above us. she is a beagle of some kind and Charlie just cant stand her, I dont know why, poor thing. If he sees her he goes nuts barking and he even once snapped at her so we avoid contact LOL. Two apartments down there is an older man with 2 small dogs one weenie and the other is some kind of a pug I think. the weenie dog is so old that he has to carry it out to go potty I have never seen it walk, the pug is just as old and so so fat that he waddles when he walks, I can see the man walk by the patio with the weenie dog and about 45 seconds later here comes the pug. he rarely makes it to the potty area and usually goes in our area. Charlie will jst look at him all cockeyed like "Dude" thats my yard... but he never barks at him. maybe its respect for the elderly LOL. Well, Charlie and I hope to be on here more now I have missed you all very much. Talk to you soon. :D |
Glad to see you back! And good luck on your new start! My yorkies terrorize our Beagle. Maybe the two breeds don't mesh. Lol. |

So happy to see you back here!! :) |
Great to see you back, though I've been lurking more than posting lately. It always takes Teena a bit of time to accept a new dog but she will never like the beagles in our building! (Of course Dolly, the social butterfly, loves everything & everyone!) Hope you love single life as much as I do! And Dolly says she still loves Charlie!!!!! |

As you can see Charlies still has his "Love" posted in our signature. Im guessing we will be going to allot of Valentines dances together in the future LOL |
You will get used to single life,,,,hang in there. It took me a while, but once it happened, I am very content and happy with it! Get somekind of something made of latex, like a rubber glove, to wrap around those jar lids you cant get off, and they will open easily for you! Get you a step ladder from the hardware storem so you can reach those high spots!Start you a little notebook with names of trusted, recommended repairment, for the jobs you cant do yourself! Make a friend at Home Depot! Languish in the reality you can come and go whenever you want to, or dont want to, cook when you want to or dont want to, read a good book, soak in a hot tub of water surrounded with candles, just relaxing with NO time schedule to keep! or just spend time with Charlie, sitting and doing nothing if that is what you want to do! I LOVE being single, of course I am 65 years old, but I am having a ball taking care of ME (and my son and all these little dogs!). Hang in there, it take time to adjust, but you will get there......you came out of this dark tunnel with your best friend, your most loving, devoted, loyal, true friend right there at your side! You just enjoy you and Charlie for now.....and what happens down the road is a new adventure for you both to face together! Welcome back!!! |
