Cleaning floors with what? The building is doing construction and there is a lot of dust on my wood floors. What can I use to clean the floors that is non-toxic for my yorkie? Any |
http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...-cleaning.html :D We had cont' remodeling here when we 1st moved in, the floors were all done but there was so much dust (mostly laminate & travertine, no carpet). I used a vacuum on floor mode & swiffered the floor w/a microfiber cloth attached to it. It picked up so much dust! I'm obsessed w/cleaning my floors. If it gets dirty, I wet the microfiber cloth w/a mixture of 2 cups of water & 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (I just use the sink!). Wring out the excess & attach that to the swiffer & it cleans very well! Safe for pets too. How to Clean Wood Floors With Apple Cider Vinegar | eHow |
I just use regular white vinegar and water to clean my wood floors. I've used it for 20 years in two different houses. Works great! I'm a huge DIYer and another thing that's great about using vinegar water to clean wood is that it leaves so residue behind, which makes it easier to refinish your floors in the future. |
Great -- I will try this weekend! |

Quick question --what is the ratio from vinegar to water? |

I just dump some vinegar in the water, I never measure it. I use a 1 gallon bucket, and I guess I put about 3 inches of vinegar in before adding the water. Not sure if there is a better formula, but this works for me... |
50/50 mix of water and vinegar, don't use pinesol bad news for animals |

Max is sensitive to vinegar, so I don't use it much around him. I use a liquid hand soap diluted in water to clean hard floors. |
