Hiccups My Ripley seems to get the hiccups a lot. A few times a week at least. Should I be worried? I feel like I'm worried for nothing.. Anybody else's baby go through this? |
I found this online HowStuffWorks "Can dogs get the hiccups?" I would record a hiccup event and show it to your Vet to be safe. |
My little one gets hiccups occasionally after he drinks or eats but it doesn't last long and it's not all the time. |
They never last very long. Maybe a minute. Good idea, I'm going to keep a log and when I take her in again I'll go over it with my vet. That article was very helpful as well... Thanks ya'll. |
Abbey gets them too! I'm new to the forums, ...but, my little Abbey, born April 18th (Good Friday) gets hiccups all the time too. It seems to be when she's excited which is a lot! She loves to run and play and loves when we have company...especially kidders! She loves everyone and gets so excited.... Ooops! I have a tendency to "meander!" Anywhooooo... I've asked the vet on 3 occassions if I should be upset by her hiccups and they said, "No." Soooo..... Sunny AZ (Yuck! It's summer and hot!) checking out on this topic and waiting for my initial question to clear the administrators! :) BTW...love all the info on this site...though I haven't posted till today...I do check it out daily!!! Lots of GREAT info! It has been such a help! THANK YOU!!!! Kathi (or Abbey's Mommy)...whichever! |
Welcome to YT kathitownz! Thanks for letting me know what your vet said about the hiccups. I do notice that my Ripley drinks her water really hard. I think she is gulping too much. She is not stop playing all day so we have to keep a lot of water down for her. She doesn't eat fast - she kind of grazes... I have a feeling the water drinking is the culprit. |
