Yorkie attacks
 

I have two Yorkies, Peppe 4, and Bella 3, recently Peppe has been trying to attack me for example, when i wake up in the morning and go to say good morning to them as soon as i pet/kiss bella, he will try and attack me, not sure if he is thinking i am going to take her away or what is going through his mind , and at first i thought it was cute, but this morning he almost took out my eye.... Please help if anyone else has had this problem or something similar....

You need to assert some authority here and sharply, the best way to show a dog the pecking order in the family is to eat or gesticulate your eating from his/her bowl this act of feeding first in the wild is done by the alpha male, then, and only then, does the alpha allow others in the pack to feed, it is no different in the yorkies world. Do not allow a Yorkie to share your bed or bedroom, might be nice for you but to him its one up-manship and he is sure as with any other dog to perceive this as his room, as to when walking on a lead or off, he walks behind you not yards in front, when on a lead a well trained dog walks by your side. He will bite you if he has no defined role, he may even bite others, Yorkies are lovely little dogs but they need, probably more than any other breed a 'master' you must take on this role.

Oh dear, does he only do this when you pay attention to Bella? Could be jealousy or maybe he's being over protective? I'd usually try to discourage aggressive behaviors when i see it (even if it's cute a the time). Granted it doesn't always work currently, my girl is so stubborn at times. Maybe try greeting him first?

Yeah, the senior dog should be first so they don't feel left out. First to eat, first for treats, etc.

Will greeting a Yorkie who thinks he owns the space do any good, in my opinion it won't, what needs to be adopted here is a pecking order, through this order will come compliance. I am not implying cruelty here just a unique understanding between dog and owner of who is top dog, without this the dog has no defined role and has no where to look for one. My Yorkie whom I got when my daughter got divorced has all the comforts of home, is very well loved sits on my knee, all of these things, but he knows he does not share the bedroom, he does not walk/run ahead on and off the lead, in other words he knows his defined role, indeed I can stop my Yorkie from unnecessary barking by clicking my fingers that is because he knows the boundaries, without these boundaries the dog just does not know what to do, where to go, how to act or anything in between. One thing however I have never been able to do for my Yorkie is to get him to desist from attacking other dogs, mindful that he was a normal puppy, a lovely social dog until two years old then his whole world changed when he was attacked by an English Bull terrier and almost murdered in the accompanying melee, me too, now despite all I try, or do, his first line of defence is offence, and for the life of me I cannot stop it, and it gets me into loads of trouble with other dog owners who say he should be 'put down' ''no I will not get him euthanased for you or anybody'' comes the reply for something that is not his fault. If anyone has any idea [even if I may have heard it before] I would greatly appreciate their help.

I second this! If he was your baby before getting Bella, he needs to know he is still first. He could be feeling insecure if Bella is getting attention before him.

Peppe does always get greeted first, but as soon as I go to bella, or try to pick her up he just snaps (this usually only happens in the morning when they are still somewhat sleeping) ... I have been firmy telling him NO when he does that, but my dogs clearly dont take me too seriously or anyone in the house for that matter....

hmm the only thing I can think of is giving him some reconditioning training or maybe wait a bit while when they wake up more before greeting them.
