| chickensmith | 08-09-2014 09:52 AM | Winnie is Home!!!!! Hi Everybody~ Winnie came home Tuesday...and I must say she is a perfect little lady!! She slept in her crate all the way home and never made a peep! She had a bit of diarrhea, but has already met her vet on Wednesday and she assures me it was just the stress of the trip. She was very alert at the vet, was free of worms confirmed by a float, and was dewormed and given some probiotic powder for the next 10 days to help her tummy. The vet did say that if she continues with the loose stools to think about changing her food, she is on Blue (what the breeder was feeding) and she said it may be too much protein for her tummy. She has a wonderfully huge personality, very sweet and confident. Walked into the house and started bouncing around and kissing everyone like she had known us her whole life!! She has done amazing with her potty training...and has slept through the night in her crate since the first night. Her first morning home she pooped in her crate and then alerted me...and since has not had another accident. Thursday Friday and today she has woken me with her cry and bolts out of the kennel and straight to the back door! I just can't get over how extremely smart she is! She has won the hearts of all the humans in the house, as well as all the fur people in the house! JOJO our 7 month old kitten is extremely protective of her. She follows her everywhere and I even caught them cuddled up together in Winnie's little bed snoozing. I have to say....it has been almost 12 years since we have had a puppy....and she is perfect. I have some great pictures of her despite her wiggly-ness...I will post them later in the thread after I get them on the computer.....as I do have some general questions on grooming :D Hope you all have a great weekend! OH...and by the way...she is a whopping 1# 10 oz and is 10 weeks old :p |
