Why does she cry over everything Sophie got spayed earlier this month and since she has been home when ever she wants something she cries. She cries when she is hunger and she cries of she wants outside and she cries over if she wants a special toy and cannot find it. She has never been a crier so can anyone tell me what to have caused the changes in my baby? I love her dearly and cannot stand listening to her cry. :confused: Any help would be appreciated. |
I am of NO help here because I am an enabler....had the same thing happen to me with my Aija and I would have signed the deed to my home over to my baby girl if she had cried for it! My momma, who was living here with us, was with Aija all day when I was at work. She told me I was the blame for this behavior, that I was making it worse because Aija never cried and moved from room to room like a sprinter when I was not here...it was when I got home that she dissolved into a pitiful, motionless, crying, helpless, little puddle of limp abused, obviously ignored red headed step child! So I feel YOUR pain and the pain of your baby! |
My spoiled adopted lil boy does the same thing, 95 % of the time I can figure out what he wants, the 5% that I cannot I give him a few kibbles, that seems to do the trick. He came to me spoiled rotten lol and I love it, so he cries and I jump and he knows it, mine does it because he knows he'll get the attention he is demanding lol. Your lil girl could be also doing it for extra attention. I try to ignore Cody but he will get soooo loud I can't hear the TV if it's on lol. |
If you give into the crying she will continue to do it because she knows it works. Don't get me wrong I give in to mine a lot when she does it but some times I will tell her in the silly baby voice oh Callie Mea you stop that. She's not a big cryer though but when she has her harness on and we are getting ready to go somewhere she will cry and cry. My aunts dog is really bad though she is a bit smaller then Callie and if she crys or barks my aunt does whatever she wants at the drop of a hat and it kinda created a little monster. |
Thanks for everyone's responses... I just try to figure out what she is wanting. She has a toy (bully ring) that she wants to chew on all the time so I let her play with it for a while and then pick it up. If I let her she would chew on it all day. She is so smart she tries to hide it from me and of course she will walk around looking for it. She has been a very bad eater, she would go days with only eating a couple bites a day and it would worry me because she is only 4lbs 12oz she needs her food. After she was spayed on July 10 she has started to eat and I would feed her in the morning and evening and she would eat it all but now around 7:30-8:00 pm she starts to walk around the kitchen crying looking up to the counter top where her empty food bowl is kept. I am glad she is now eating but I don't want her to eat to much and get overweight. |
I had a shih Tzu that cried all the time. He was just a whiner from day one till the day I put him down. I guess your suppose to ignore it but how can you ignore someone as cute as Sophie!! |

A dog will only do what you teach it to do. You give into crying and they learn crying lets the be your boss and get their way. From day one spend the time to teach your house rules, by 6 months they should be 90% or better with in those guidelines. Now they will still try you occasionally till they are about one year, but will only be testing you. |
