Does your husband say "no more dogs", is that what you mean? Maybe over time, he will ease up on this feeling...do you think? I hope you will someday be able to get another yorkie to fill up your heart. |

I am so sorry for your loss. It has been 16 months since my Charlie died. I have 2 other yorkies now and love them dearly, but I will always miss Charlie. I totally understand your need to express this. When you are ready, I would love to hear about your Ellie. Sometimes sharing stories about their lives and antics helps. |
I'm very sorry for your loss. You have come to the right place since most people here understand how deep your loss is. My last little girl, Ashley, lived one month shy of seventeen. I lost her two sisters a few years before, and I still found it difficult coping without them. There comes a time that the beautiful, happy moments you have of Ellie will overpower the sad ones you are now feeling. After two lonely years, Katie joined our lives and has filled our hearts with such love and happiness. I hope someday you can open your heart again to another little one. Please continue to share with us about Ellie. We care and understand. |
Tesswood, you have come to a forum where folks here understand the struggle with losing one of the dearest living things in our lives. Many here have experienced this struggle and pain and know hoe hard it can be. Clearly your love was great - meaning you were a devoted Yorkie mom. Revel in your memories of your dear one. I could tell you it gets better with time, but that is often hard to see when you are in the midst of the grieving process. I see that you are a new member - Keep reaching out to those who care and know about this feeling you are living. We know it is hard. Wishing you the best |
Sorry for your loss. It's so hard to lose a beloved little one. Most here have probably felt the same pain, so know we understand. I hope in time you will be able to share your home with another little one. You must have been a very good and loving Yorkie Mom. |
I am so sorry for your loss.... :-( |
I am sorry for your loss. I lost my baby last month and still having a hard time. I understand your pain. I hope your heart can come to terms with this loss soon. |
I am so very sorry for your loss. |
OP, I apologize to have gotten off topic. I'm sure this is a hurtful time for you, and the last thing you need is bickering on your thread. My apologies, and, again, my condolences. |

I am ,so terribly, sorry for your loss. I do truly know how devastating this can be, I lost one of my babies last November. |
Im so sorry for your loss, we do love our fur kids |
I hope you are doing a little bit better today. Won't you share with us stories and maybe pictures of your sweet Ellie as soon as you feel comfortable enough to do so. I think that is a sweet name you gave her. I know it can help to ease the pain to talk about her and show pictures too. I needed to talk about my baby when I lost her so I can understand the need to do so. That was a long time to have had her. I had mine for 16 years also and from the age of 8 weeks as well. I did not know either how I would cope but it has been over 3 years now and it did get better. Blessings to you. |
I am so sorry for your loss of Elliemae. It is one of the hardest things in life to deal with is a loss of a loved one. I had to put my two dachshunds down in July of 2011. I had both of them since they were 8 weeks old. Fritz was 16 and Hershey was 9. The first several months of them gone I swear I would hear barking every now and then. We did not think we were ever going to have anymore dogs. However, at the beginning of this year my daughter convinced me to get another dog. She has a yorkie and she started sending me pictures of baby yorkies. I didn't want to get another dachshund because I felt like I was replacing my two that had passed. Needless to say I did my research and looked for a good breeder and lord and behold we now have our yorkie boy Remy. Take the time to heal and maybe in the future your husband will change his mind. It's probably just too soon for him. I wish you the best and remember each day will get better. Think about the last 16 happy years Elliemae gave you and your family and that you will see her again! |
