Do your pups like to mark on walks? On walks at the park Cook loves to stop, squat, and mark, and then run her paws in the ground I guess to get the scent from her paw pads into the ground. This is the only time she marks, but she does it at least a few times on every walk to mark the park her territory. It makes me laugh every time LOL. |
Joel marks everywhere at the park, it's his favorite thing to do lol |
Bubba has marked the entire fenced, off leash, small dog side of the dog park. Then another male dog comes along and he has to start over ago. He comes home very tired from his "job". |
Wylie and Marcel LOVE to mark on walks, especially Wylie - he will mark and mark and mark, even when he's leaving a "dry" mark, lol. |
dog Yep my two boys seem to stop at every bush and mark. We hardly can get up the street. Spud the little porker needs to work and all he wants to do is stop and lift his leg. |

My girl marks on all her outings  |
Nice to finally see another yorkie girl does this! |
Amy does that also. I even know the spots she will stop and mark and God forbid if I don't let her stop. It is so funny to watch. |
Lola does this on walks and it drives me crazy, she could stop 20 times if I let her, I finally just try pulling her along, consequently she does not get walked a lot. It's odd she is so active and could play fetch for hours, but walks are not her thing and since all she wants to do is stop and squat I don't take her nearly as much as I did with my past yorkies. I wonder if trying to pee to mark is not healthy because she must be straining a little to get something out to mark with |
Magnus tries to conserve his pee so he can mark till the end of the walk. Doesn't quite work sometimes as I can see him trying but nothing's coming out. And he looks at me like "just wait.. I can squeeeeze out one more drop!" LOL |
