Carrier suggestions besides Jaraden and Kwigy-Bo? I'm looking for a nice, sturdy carrier for my pup. I know the Le Petit and Kwigy-Bo Alex are pretty popular but before I shell out $200 does anyone have any other suggestions? |

I bought a great one at Homegoods, there are so many good ones out there that having nothing to do with the name brands that we talk about here. I spent a ton of money on the Jarden Windsor only to hate it because it was so rigid, structured, and heavy and most importantly Lola was not comfortable in it. I found a cheap black patent one on Ebay for about $20.00 that Lola loved to lay in, and it was lightweight for me to carry around, I still have it, but then I saw a quilted faux leather gold one at Homegoods for about $35.00 and that seemed a bit more stylish. I also have a quilted denim one that came with a matching coat, Lola finds that one comfty as well and the set cost me about $25.00. LOL I spent less on the three bags combined than I did on the Windsor. But things worked out as Yorkie Haven was happy to get the Windsor to use in last year's raffle. what do you mean by sturdy, do you need it to stand up on it's own. |

goggle pet carriers you will be surprised by how many types and price points you will find, I also have friends that have bought large tote bags from places like Charming Charlie's that work out great for pets. Also I find that not always just one bag does the trick, I use different bags for different reasons. toting around is different than needing one to sit in shopping cart or on a chair. I have a sling that I like if I just plan to be walking around and not have it sit on a chair or shopping cart. |

I love the mini pod. It converts to a bed when you get to where you are going. They have several sizes and colors. You can get for about $120 |

1 Attachment(s) I felt the same way! We have the Parisian pet houndstooth pet carrier. Got it from Amazon for 40. The inside is animal print and I am a sucker for all things animal print. We absolutely love ours! |

I recommend the jaraden carriers...I have the soho and the sharecare....many love the Windsor. I also like the petote... The metro or the new quilted collection are really nice. All of the above have excellent reviews |

I agree with Donna. You can find a lot of cheap carriers that are easily as well made (if not better than) the brand names I see most often on here. Unfortunately, many of the bags are great for the smaller pups, and my ginormous ZoE doesn't fit in them. I have 3 large Kwigy Bo's that I use for her and they work fine for me, although they are not the greatest quality construction for the inflated price tag. I have a CeCe Kent Nantucket that I used with my last yorkie, and it was a really great bag quality wise, and because it was real leather, the straps broke in nicely to the shoulder. I so wish I could get it in a larger size. I saw some Kate Spade dog carrier purses at TJ Maxx this month. They looked nice, but again would best fit a 4-7lber...not my ZoE. If I had a smaller pup I'd definitely be looking at TJ Maxx and home goods. |
