Yorkie, Silky or Australian terrier 4 Attachment(s) I bought this beautiful terrier 2 weeks ago, he is 7 months of age, but his owner told me he was an Australian terrier (he has no papers), but for his looks and soft hair which doesn't shed, he looks rather a Silky terrier or a Yorkie. He is about 3 kgs (less than 7 oz) but his muzzle is not so long, and his body is longer than Yorkies and he was born brown as an Australian terrier. What do you all think? Silky, Yorkie or Aussie? |
Don't know anything about the Australian Terrier but he looks like a Yorkie to me. |
From the google images I pulled up, he looks nothing like an Australian Terrier. |
Yorkies can be born brown too does he have a brown nose he could be a chocolate yorkie |
Pictures of his mother and him as a puppy 4 Attachment(s) Here are some pics of his mother and him as a puppy |
It is so hard the mom doesnt look like a yorkie but that is not a traditional yorkie haircut either she looks like a silky but Im not familiar with the australlian terrier breed either so Im uncertain |
The really pointy ears looks Australian terrier-like and the color is unusual. Could be silky which is a yorkie/australian terrier mix basically. If in doubt you can have a dna test done :3 |

It's hard to tell for sure, but to me he looks like a Silky. The Silky Terrier was bred from the Yorkshire Terrier and the Australian Terrier, so it wouldn't be surprising to see a lot of Yorkie in a Silky. |
here are more pictures of my dog- 4 Attachment(s) Some of him as a puppy and some recent pics. |
Regardless of what he is, he's beautiful. |
