my puppy has issues sleeping or is it me? When I got my baby she use to sleep with me for a while till I realized I didnt want her to fall of my bed and get injured while im sleeping so she started sleeping on the her own bed. But just when she turned 4 months she has very weird habbits is as if she doesnt want to sleep in beds at all just the floor. When I lay her in my bed she is the worst sleeper she gets up every 3-4mins and changes her location or position as if shes uncomfortable so I put her back on the floor since she still hasnt learned to get up or down my bed ( and its a platform lol). Even yet on the floor she does the same not as much as in my bed but she switches from place to place. Kinda weird huh? Or is just me. Once I found her sleepig with half her body outside the bed and her legs inside. It was so funny I took a picture. |
Could your little one get too hot in your bed? Mine seek the floor, when they get hot during the day (other wise they are on my desk (has a dog bed area) or my lap/chest) At night, they are on my bed. They have their own pillows/bedding, down one side of the bed, hubby fixed a board along the bed, so they can't fall out. Caleb sleeps with his head on my pillow. Pippi starts on her bedding, cuddles my waist later, and changes direction all night, all along my side from my feet to my arm pit. Mostly wants my arm around her, but I think she heats up, plus any noise in or out of the house unsettles her. She's always been jumpy in her sleep. She used to jump up suddenly as if startled and change position, she'd do this a lot. We had her checked at the vet, she's healthy, as I feared she was in pain. She's better now, but a fidget. What are you like at night? Due to pain, I move around at night too, so they get disturbed by me also. So much so, hubby sleeps in a separate bed I get the double :) with the dogs, hubby has a single next to us. Dogs never sleep with him. |
If they get to warm in one area they will move around. Some prefer the floor because it's cooler. Nothing wrong with the pup, just looking for cooler spots. |
Thanks ! I was beginning to worry but I get it now shes prob hot since its still summer . When she slept in my bed with no issue it was winter now I get it |
Magnus has a lot of body heat. I'm the same way. They sleep in their own room but I know he changes locations from his bed to the tile floor throughout the night. Even during our weekend naps, he'll cuddle next to me for a bit, then goes away to cool off on the hardwood floor. Then comes back once he's cooled off. LOL |
