Sleep talking yorkie! As usual, on weekends my furbies and I take naps in the late afternoon. It's usually pretty restful but this sat, not so much. Zoey was "talking" in her sleep so loud that it woke me and her brother up three times! The first time, I woke her up b/c I thought something was wrong. But she showed her displeasure by giving me the stink eye before going back to sleep.. :rolleyes: I'm sure I'm not the only one with a sleep talking, snoring furbie! Please share your stories~ |
I'm not sure if I'd call it talking, but, both my Females do it. Navi, sorta "huffs", like she was running, and Becca, barks very quietly. One time she barked loudly, then jumped up looking around, I think to see who barked, not realizing it was she. :D Both my Males are very sound sleepers. The rely on the Females to alert if something is aria. Lazy things :rolleyes: |
Cookie will "wuff" in her sleep and move her front paws as if she is walking. :) Cuddles doesn't usually do anything in her sleep, but one time she started crying. :( I had to wake her up, she was probably having a nightmare. |
I'm pretty fortunate in that Grace is usually a pretty quiet sleeper. Once in a while though she must dream she is seeing those animals outside the window that get her so upset. She will start to whimper and shake like she is after something as she sleeps. I usually wake her up but if I don't keep her awake for a few minutes she will go right back into that dream again. |
Teddy is like Zoey and dreams a lot. He usually whimpers and runs a bit, but sometimes he talks. Wish he could tell me what he is dreaming about. :) |
My Lexi talks in her sleep....muffled little barks, whines, crys, front legs going sometimes, just like that commercial.....especially if we have had a real strenous play time or if she has worked especially hard, protecting me from any birds that may try to land in a tree or fence, while I do any yard work....one night she screamed out like she was hit by a car or something! Scared the stuffing out of me.....after I came off the ceiling, and could get to her at the foot of my bed, I realized she was sleeping soundly and must have had a nightmare.....thank God because I thought she had a heart attack and was dying on me! |
Sometimes Huey yips and wakes himself up. Its hilarious. |

Cody doesn't do it very often, but he'll start to whimper then cry in his sleep. I genitally stroke his body to just wake him a lil bit, he'll be fine after that. I often wonder what they dream about that makes them do this. My last girl never did this, my other 3 did. |
Gizmo has always talked in his sleep while wagging his tail like he's playing :-) he also snores super loud for such a little doggy lol, it's hard to decide whether my husband or Gizmo snores louder hehehe. |
Teasell does talk in her sleep and her little paws make movement. Now does your furbabies wag their tail while sleeping. Teasell does and it makes me want to know what she is doing in her sleep that makes her so happy.:usastar: |
Jenna has barked, wuffed, cried, twitched, wagged, run and shrieked in her sleep. She is particularly restless after I've been out during the day. She also makes this odd bark that sounds like a dripping faucet. What bothers me is the full body shakes that happen once in awhile because they look like some sort of seizure. But she wakes easily from them so I know it's not anything neurological but I had to Google videos of seizure dogs to be sure that's not what she was doing. :( My vet also told me that as long as she\'s responsive when I shake her that she\'s okay. She always looks around for me when she wakes up after a really vivid dream cycle. Poor thing...she has awful anxiety...almost worse than mine. :( You\'d think she could at least get some peace while she sleeps! |
My Rico makes whimpering noises. i just stroke him till he switches positions,then he\'s fine. Coco doesn\'t make any noise. |
