Fiesta ware fruit bowls I've been trying to find reasonably priced, shallow bowls that don't hold a lot and don't have yucky stuff in them (lead) or a cat themed. I finally found one we're happy with. The fruit bowl is the same as their "petware" xxsmall/cat bowl, and it's a lot cheaper. Lola isn't a fan of sticking her face in dishes, she prefers eating her dry food off the floor, and she's a bowl flipper/player. I bought this bowl a week ago and she's eating her dry food out of it and hasn't flipped it. I'm going to order more next time Kohl's has a 30% off coupon. |
So funny, I've been using these for my girls forever! |
*raises hand* We use these, too! Have 'em in all different colors. :) |
I was thinking about getting pet bowls but then realized I got plenty of bowls that would be perfect sizing. We have various sets of asian styled bowls that include dishes meant to hold side-dishes/condiments. Also gotten some creme brulee' from Kroger's dessert area that are in glazed terracotta dishes that you get to keep and it only costs about $3.99 We used those dishes to feed an occasional wetfood for our current dogs, it's shallow and small. ^^ |
1 Attachment(s) I don't like deep bowls for my kiddos either. Also, I don't like them to be able to "rock" / tip - so I get completely flat bottomed tart bowls, they're nice and small and cost about 1.99. They look like this: |
I love yard and church sales and find the best dishes for the little ones. Ziva's fav are corningware "sidekicks" a flat rectangular dish. Abby eats out of asian rice bowls, my DD bought her the cutest pink kitty one from Japan. |
We also use those fiesta ware dishes! Love them...perfect size and wide variety of colors! |
I use cat dishes for Galen. . . |
I use custard bowl for water, shallow ceramic dish for food, when it comes to FOOD Cody wouldn't care if it was in a stock pot, he'll eat his FOOD out of anything, hungry lil boy that he is. But water bowl has to be small, dainty lil boy doesn't like his water in big bowls, so it's constant refilling of water. They are just too cute these lil guys. |

Kohls has a great deal right now, but you need their credit card for most of it. It ends tonight at midnight (I think it's PST, so 3am EST). The bowls are on sale for $6.30, add 8 bowls to your cart. Then use coupons: Homesale10 ($10 off $50) gr8finds ($10 off $30) beach30 (30% off, must have CC) julymvc (free shipping on any order, must have credit card) The total is $22.56 with tax. I'm also thinking of buying this to put them in. PetRageous Designs Gizmo's Table Pet Bowl Holder |
2 Attachment(s) I got the bowl elevator I linked above, it works really well. I like that the bottom is solid so I can put almost any bowls in it and Lola can't play with them. It's the perfect height, Lola is 7lbs (not sure how tall she is). The glass bowl is in the fiesta fruit bowl because it doesn't hold enough water for her downstairs bowl. |
