We went to the vet this am. Got routine annual stuff-heartworm, fecal, etc. with a report of good health. Saw my favorite vet of the three in the practice, so was thrilled with that. We talked for a long time about allergies, causes, diagnosing, treatments, etc. He said it is most likely something environmental to cause itchy feet and runny eyes so he said exposure to dust in the household could be something, so he recommended to try over the counter zyrtec. I've been giving him a different over the counter antihistamine but I bought some zyrtec and we're going to try that. I've been working a lot, so housekeeping has not been up to par recently, so today I have spent 3 hours dusting, swiffering, cleaning baseboards, moving furniture & getting all the dust out at the house. Maybe this will help with his allergies.
We have also scheduled his first dental (he's 5 1/2) for tomorrow, but I will start another thread on that. :) |
