Question about K9 Advantix Ii? Hi!! I was doing some digging about k9 Advantix and stumbled upon this forum: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=317426 The third poster down mentioned something about for her dogs, she uses frontline and she buys the 3-pack meant for bigger dogs and measures out the appropriate ml for her smaller dogs and it ends up being more like a 6-pack...for the price of a 3-pack!! I think this might be an okay idea but I would like to check with the other members to see if they have ever done this method and would recommend it. |
I do this... My vet wrote it out for me (although this info is on the brand website as well) and gave me some small syringes with needles to draw up the correct dose more easily from the large tube. For a dog 4 to 10 pounds, use 0.4 mL of the K9 Advantix II. For a dog 11-20 pounds use 1.0 mL. The concentration of active ingredients is the same for the various packages but the volume of product in each tube is different. The tube for small dogs contains 0.4 mL and the tube for large dogs contains 4.0 mL so that's about 10 doses if you split it up for a small dog! Very cost-effective if you have multiple dogs. |
