My Lola....
 
is having her dental this morning. I bawled my eyes out like a stupid baby dropping her off. Please say a prayers for her to have a safe procedure. I know she will feel so much better when she gets her three teeth pulled and she all pearly white! I just get so darn nervous. She was not happy about missing her breakfast but I promised her all the soft food she wanted when she gets home.

Glad to know I am not the only mom that cries and gets upset over these things. I hated to leave my babies, but things always turned out well, but I am still the same way. She will be fine and you can give her extra love and kisses when you pick her up. Stay strong for Lola, they pick up on your fears and stress.

Also have to add: withholding breakfast is the worst part! The confused look on their faces. I like your promise to her that she can have all the food she wants when she gets home. :)

Your vet must be like ours, does dentals first thing in the morning. That is the nice part, no waiting all day.

yes and I am pretty sure Lola was first. I left her with her carrier so she could be put in the kennel with familiar smells. She was so upset with me....I only wish you could explain that you are coming back to get them and that they will be ok. She has super high anxiety so she just starts shaking the second she's in the car without her brother and sister.

Poor Lola! I'm so glad she did not have to wait long.

I don't like leaving Teddy either. Max is a trooper and I don't worry about him as much. He knows the vet is there to help him feel better. I've thought about taking them together, but they are naughty together, lol.

I know I certainly hate that look when they can't have their breakfast.

It's getting close and my stomach is in knots..but I assume no panic call so she must be doing well. I didn't mean babies were stupid either....I shouldn't have said it like that. I just felt stupid as I could not stop the tears. lol

woo hooo my baby girl is in recovery and she did well. lost more teeth than we planned for and we cannot pick her up till 2:45...I cannot wait to kiss her lil face. ps thank you for all your prayers they mean the world to me when going through these procedures.

I read your great news earlier and was happy to see Lola is out. You have probably picked her up by now. I'm sure she is very happy to see you!

oh my she is in a lot of pain this morning. I sorta wish I took the day off.....she lost 8 teeth all together four of which are stitched...the other four came out fairly easy. she has an iron gut though I must say. She took her meds and ate soft food. I had to hand feed her she does not even want to put her head in the bowl. I feel so very bad but keep trying to remember she will be much better in a day or two and it is so much better for her health to have those teeth out. they told me no matter how good her oral care is we would still be in this position (genetics) so I am trying not to beat myself up about being a bad pet parent.
