The early mornings might change as he gets older, but I would try my best to get him on your schedule, you say he goes to bed around 8 or 8:30 what time do you go to bed, if it is much later than that then I would wake him up to go potty just before you go to bed, then put him right back in his crate. Also if you don't think he has to go to the bathroom real bad at 5:30 you could wait a little while before letting him out, just like with babies sometimes you have to let them cry a bit and not just snatch them up from their crib when they start to cry. Dogs and babies that get picked up the moment they start crying learn fast how to train their parents:D |
