Warning scary real video Coyotes are nothing to fOOL with, look how fast this Coyote snatched this cat and ran.... TAKE COYOTES SERIOUSLY coyote in scottsdale backyard taking cat - Bing Videos |
For sure. We have coyotes in our city. In fact my favourite park to walk the boys in has several coyote warning signs. They have denned in a certain section of the park. The standard rule is not to walk through there at dawn or nightfall, how-ever coyotes have adapted and will also hunt mid-day. I have told this story before, but one day at around 8 30 or 9 am so not daybreak, I was training my big boy Magic off lead in the park, and yes away from their denning area. Now he weighed 120 lbs and stands 30 inches at the shoulder. There were 3 coyotes circling our training area:eek: I saw them, when Magic had gone out for a retrieve and recall. Thank God he did not see them! I called him back and immediately put the leash on him. And used the panic button on my car keys. The loud sound drove the coyotes away. So to my mind obviously 3 coyotes which were 1/4 the size of Magic, thought that they could take him and me:mad: It was a very scarey time for me. God help me if I had Razzle out there! |
Thanks for the video, that's about the size I hit with my car a couple of years ago, but much, much thinner, but he caused $2000.00 worth of damage to my car, I hit him on his right back hip. I was devastated, he trotted right in front of my car at 4:15AM, another car was tailgating, even tho I applied my breaks I couldn't slow down enough to avoid hitting him, and I was only doing 45MPH. At 5PM every night I gate off of my deck, I have black bears that walk behind my house. Cody uses the deck after 5PM, when it's dark out I have 6 spot lights in my yard that gets turned on so I can see if anything got into the yard that can get on my deck, although my deck is high, after seeing how that coyote hopped that wall, from this day forward, I go out first, then the Cody boy. Again, thanks for that video. |
That was terrible but my question is why are they filming and not going after the coyote. It's not like they are working for NatGeo and can't interfere with nature. |
I always worry about them. We just had a Bishion killed at the end of the block by one |

I saw that video on FB the other day. Yes, very scary and they should be taken seriously. |
My first thought too was why didn't the filmer intervene. I certainly hope they are not baiting them for getting it on tape (and that is only speculation). I think, if startled, the coyote would have dropped the cat. It would have had to scale that fence to escape and that would have been easier without the meal if it felt it was in danger. I agree the kitty was probably already dead or badly injured but no way am I just going to sit back and film something like that without trying only to get a video of it. Now this coyote has been successful...at least once. Bad deal. |

Wow, how scary! That poor kitty was already dead :( I don't think I would have let the coyote run away with it though! |
because the owner knew better, you don't fight with a coyote....they will fight for food....your pet, my pet or any pet....also, who knows the circumstances....it appears that the person safe inside starting filming in the middle of the event.......probably heard the commotion.....just sad...and sadly there are many more online. Many are from home security systems as well. |
