Buttercup I just dropped my baby Buttercup off for her to get spayed and I am a basket case. They assured me she would be fine. She wa shaking so bad and rapped her arms around my husband when they came and got her. Sooo sad. Pray for her and I think me to.:aimeeyork:cry: |
Awwwww I know exactly how you are feeling. Both my girls are terrified of the vet office and I hate leaving them. Mikki was so little I was so scared to get her fixed. But she was fine. :). So just know that She will be ok mom. Sending up a prayer that she is safe in your arms soon. |
sending many prayers for a successful and safe procedure. try to stay busy not easy at all to get through the day. my lola will be going for her dental next tuesday and i will be the same way until she is back home safe. hugs to you. |
One more thing, my vet lets me call and check on my girls when they are there. Always helps me knowing they are fine. Will yours let you call? |

Awww...I know just how you feel. You feel almost sick as they take them away from you. Hang in there, she will do GREAT. Make sure you come home w/ pain pills and a pain plan; ask your vet what the plan is if the recommended pain dosage doesn't manage her pain. |
I will be in the same boat in a couple weeks. I know this is a common procedure, but that doesn't make it any less nerve wracking. |
Thanks Thanks so much for the great responce. The vet called and said she was sleeping and the surgery went great. He also removed 3 baby teeth. I'm sure shes doing good, but I won't be happy until I get to pick her up and take her home. So sad when she was holding on to my husbands arm, had those little paws rapped around it. Poor baby. Good Luck to all that going to have surgery in the near future. Wow what a day this is. I will keep you posted and THANKS SO MUCH !!!!! :aimeeyork :) :aimeeyork |
Was there in November, and it's so nerve-wracking even tough I love my vet. |
Prayers being said and Im so glad it all went well!! hope you have her back in your arms soon! |
I got Buttercup home around 4:00 yesterday and she was pretty messed up. She would not eat anything or drink anything, but would walk around ok. She has 3 beds and she went from one of them to another and went under my computer desk as well to sleep.Cat naps most of the evening and night. This morning she wanted one of her treats, which I gave her and she ate it, drank some water and went to the door to go out. She went out and down 4 steps and went potty with no problem. Now my question is-- she wants to lick all the time, mostly where they shaved her belly and her leg. I am afraid she will lick her stitches. Is this ok?? I have been told its good as long as she don't pull at them. They will heal faster. I bought a rubber cone for her but she sure don't like that. Any suggestions???? Thank you :aimeeyork  :thumbs up |
I put my two girls in baby "onsies" when they came home, they seemed to like the comfort of them too. I put them on backwards- the tummy part across the dogs back. I just unsnapped and folded up to potty. A pack at walmart is very reasonable if you don't have a thrift shop around. |
2 Attachment(s) I put an inflatable e-collar on Gizmo. It didn't seem to bother him or inhibit him from playing and eating. |
