Food your yorkie doesn't like Now normally I don't give my Cookie Monster any kind of human food, but I make an exception with fruit and veggies after I have made sure they are safe. So she goes nuts when I have bananas and she loves them, but she's not too big a fan of carrots. I was just eating one and she started asking for some, so I gave her a tiny piece and she spit it out after a second. But of course Cook started asking for more lol. |
Callie likes most safe fruits and veggies but she will only eat cooked carrots not raw and is not a fan of green beans. Sammy hates it all lol. He wants meat or nothing. |
Right off hand I can't think of ANYTHING that my girls don't like. They have had almost any and all human foods that are safe for dogs. I home cooked for a while and they did well on the diet. The biggest issue was Lollie scarfing down her dinner in less than two minutes and asking for seconds. She got a bit chubby and I had to really watch her weight 'cause she was getting ready for the show ring. It was just easier to feed her a high quality kibble while she was with her handler and once she championed and came home, I just continued with kibble. |
So far Lola won't eat bananas, doesn't like mango (gonna try again this year), and she's not big on cucumbers (she'll eat a few pieces then spit it out and continue to beg). She loves sugar snap peas, green beans, cooked carrots (haven't tried raw), and strawberries. My mom was fixing salad stuff and Lola leaned against her leg the whole time and barked at her a bit, she wanted sugar snap peas lol. She usually doesn't act like that. |
Jackson won't touch any veggies or fruit. He finds them disgusting and acts thoroughly offended if I try to feed him any. He hates any kind of potato products. Won't eat chips, french fries, baked potatoe, etc... he's so weird. LOL |
Charlie is a big eater. Pretty much anything I'll feed him, he'll eat. LOL |
Parsley. Ellie loves (and cannot generally have) fruit and vegetables. She loves her soy kibble, too. |
I really want mine to like carrots and green beans but they don't. Buster will eat apples if they are dipped in carmel, needless to say he doesn't get that, they won't eat any kind of fruit or vegetables. They won't eat chips or French fries, yet they beg until they get a bite, then they spit it out. They do like baked potatoes, if it has cheese and butter. Picky little things. |
Mine won't eat carrots - cooked or raw, but make a salad with lettuce and green pepper and they are jumping up and down for bites. They also love watermelon. |
They are fed very little people food. But do like carrots, peas, cheese, chicken, eggs, and sweet potatoes. They get a little ice cream once in a while. Neither one likes celery and string beans have be be very tiny and well hidden in Sissy's dinner. I usually feel if it heathy I'll let them try it. If its junk food....no. |
Teddy does not like rice. Max will eat anything. |
A quick comment about vegetables. Be sure that they are either cooked until they are soft, or are in very tiny pieces if raw. My Bella LOVES vegetables, but she won't chew them well before swallowing. If the pieces are large and raw, she will throw them up because they are too large to leave her stomach. Lesson learned. |
Bananas, rice, peas |
I used to feed Max with Royal but he doesn't like it anymore. Now he is in love with Petkult!! |
All three of mine, so far, like every thing that we have given them. Their fav is raw carrots and zukes. |
