Can we all try to be welcoming and helpful. I have noticed that lately Yorkie Talk has been less than welcoming to new members. Not only do I find that conduct rude but also so uncalled for. We are suppose to be a group of dog owners who get together and talk about our wonderful Yorkies, and all Yorkies are wonderful.:) There is so much knowledge available on this site and it is a shame to mess it all up with petty fighting and rude behavior. I am reminded of what my Mother use to say, "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." I have mostly stayed quiet during these negative posts, but today I got riled up and called a member a bully, I am sorry for that. I do not usually say anything that unkind, but I so wish the membership could try to be more welcoming to the newcomers. This is just my OPINION, I really do know the difference between opinion and fact. :) Ok that is all I have to say. Thank you. |
I guess I have been out of the loop and have missed these. Sometimes forums can get a little heated. Sadly that is what happens when there are people with different views. Sometimes we get so passionate about what's best for our pups that it may come across as being a bully. It's been a problem on forums forever. You are right though. We should all work together for what is in the best interest of the pups. Which I think most members try to do. I am not sure which threads you are referring to but hopefully it will all work out. |
I totally agree with everything you said. Sometimes I also think people give their opinions on what someone should do and that person may get offended, like their being talked down to, although that is not their intention. And that's where some of the arguments start. The new member then gets defensive and may make some comments that doesn't help the situation. Maybe we just need to find a more positive way to give our opinions. Some people get easily offended and defensive, and there is not much we can do about that. |
megansmomma you had best watch your accusations. You think you are much smarter than you are. My suggestion is get a life or a job. |
Yawn. Here we go again. |
Wow. Really? Drama isn't liked but this has just turned to drama. I thought this thread was started because there was a desire to stop drama. This thread appears to have taken a turn to attack megansmomma. Is this really what needs to be done? I haven't read the other thread and it appears I don't need to. |

I've got both a job and a life. I've also got screen shots of your THEN public pictures. June 2nd at 10:35 AM they are stamped. Sad that you can't just return that dog :( |

I guess I am shocked at the way this thread has turned. You commented you wanted rude and uncalled for posts to stop. What is happening in this thread now? :(. The way I see it is one, you are defending gmohr and two, trying to disprove megansmomma. My thought is that we all love our pups. And Heaven forbid if one of mine went missing, I would hope someone would be trying to get her back to me. There seems to be some reason that megansmomma feels that this information needs to be known. Also, referring to your comment about people taking a dog and posting on YT, believe it or not it has, can, and will happen. I am not saying gmohr is guilty but I haven't finished the threads about it. However, is there proof that megansmomma is wrong? Do you know that for sure? What if this was your pup? Wouldn't you want proof one way or another? |

I reviewed this thread. The first three posts are about being welcoming and friendly to new members. The fourth post hijacked this thread and brought it to this unpleasant place. I'll let you internet detectives figure out what I'm talking about. In the meantime, I'll report this thread and try to get it closed. |
This thread is now closed. |
