I wonder just how big shes going to get? Well my Athena just turned 5 months old this past weekend. I always knew she was big for her age from the start. When she was just 6 weeks old she weighed as much as a puppy quite a bit older then she should on the charts. Back when she was 12 weeks old I did the calculations on how much she would likely weigh as an adult by doubling what she weighed then. she weighed 5 pounds so I came up with 10 pounds. So I always knew she would be a bigger yorkie. no biggy, I dont care. :D Now at just turned 5 months old she is now 9 pounds. Im thinking at 5 months old she still has quite a bit of growing to do, so likely is going to by pass that 10 pounds......lol. I wonder how big shes going to get. Goes to show you cant depend on those calculation charts. They are not always right. |
The growth charts had my Jewels at 3 lbs she is 8. They had Chachi at 5 lbs he is 14. She is already a teapot. I like them bigger they are hardier and can do alot of things also they are good with kids |

More to love! :D how is she doing? |
I'm jealous!. Lexi turns 5 months this week and I believe she is right at 4 pounds. Will find out for sure at her vet appointment next week. I would love for her to be on the bigger size, but I still love my tiny furbutt! |
My guess is she will be bigger than 10 pounds. My two didn't stop growing until they were about 1 and then they continued to fill out even after that. She will be able to join the teapot club! |
With Keno I was told by the vet tech to 3X the weight at 12 weeks. 4.8 X 3= 14.4. His weight at 3.5 years is 14lbs. I guess he was correct. |

I bet she's really close to her max wt right now since yorkies stop growing around 6 mths old. So, maybe 10 pounds is spot on! Good amount of yorkie to love  :D. |

We were told Scarlett would be lucky to reach 5 pounds. She's 16 now! LOL. Good thing we love every ounce of her. |
Keno was 9 lbs at 6 months when I had him neutered. So I am betting 15 lbs will be about right. I love Keno's size, as I have said before I purposely wanted a big yorkie. A show breeder friend of mine found him for me, he is AKC from show stock, just not standard size. My days of showing dogs and breeding dogs is long gone, I just wanted a small pet and he has been super. So very smart, easy to house train and very loyal and fun. |

Jackson was 6lbs at 12 weeks old. He maintained right around 12lbs until 1 year old or so. Now he's somewhere around 17lbs at 5 1/2. He filled out a lot, got a lot of muscle, etc. |
