Your not the only one its common they usually outgrow it |
Lexi just turned 5 months and she is starting to do it less and less. She used to do it every time. I would just make sure I took her away from it as soon as she was done. |
thats a relief i guess she just in that stage right now i took it away from her pronto i hope she dosent get sick |

I wouldn't worry about her getting sick. The times I know Lexi ate her poop she never got sick. I heard somewhere that it is a learned behavior from their mother. The mom will eat their poop when they are babies to keep the area clean. Not sure if that's true or not! |
give her some canned pineapple. Helped my girl |
I have had the same problem with my Stitch who is 8 months old. I started him on SEP from Solid Gold. I do pick his waste up as soon as he goes but who knows what he does when I'm not home |
thanks sukey i will try some canned pinepple she seems a bit picky about what she eats now. Hopefully she grow out of it |
What does she eat regularly, kibble or canned food? If dry kibble, try softening it with warm water for her. |

Lexi is also a picky eater. Seems to be common in Yorkies. I would try everything to get her to eat. Put her dry food on the floor, mix with wet food, etc. These worked for a few days then she would start turning her nose up to it again. I then realized I was the problem. She learned that if she wouldn't eat it, I would give her something different and better to eat. I decided to just put her dry food out and not give in (this was very hard). The first day she went without eating till after noon, but she eventually ate, and now she eats her dry food with no complaints. This worked for Lexi, but I know this could be harmful for really young pups because of Hypoglycemia. |
You are not alone. When I am walking Amy I am on the look out for piles of poo. If she sees it I tell her firmly no and give a tug on the leash and she usually starts walking again. |
Wylie did this as a pup - we then bought Solid Golds SEP (Stop Eating Poop) and it worked immediately. |
