Dog Cooling Vests Just received an email from GW Little advertising new Dog Cooling Vests by Hurtta. You just soak them in cold water and the evaporation process inside gives off a cooling feeling. It seems great for the hot summer days that are fast approaching and already here in So Cal! Does anyone have something similar? Looking for feedback, thanks! I was looking at these today, too. I have a few jackets and coats from Hurrta. I ordered my first jacket from GW Little, but since then I have ordered from Eurodog Designs. Katja carries the full Hurrta line, and she is very helpful. There is free shipping on all orders. Even though she knows Katie is a Yorkie, I use code Havanese10 for a 10% discount. I really love a lot of the Hurrta line. They are well made and very functional. I'm curious to see what others say. We walk long distances early mornings and late afternoons and evenings. I was wondering if this would help at least part of the time. Apparel for active dogs and beautiful leather collar |

Pet Smart or Pet Supplies sell them. I saw them yesterday, was in both stores, so I forget which one had them. No I didn't get one lol. |
1 Attachment(s) Hurrta also makes a full coat but that may be too much. When I saw this coat, I thought to myself that I couldn't use the coat with Katie's Buddy Belt because I wouldn't want it to get wet. I think the vest is cute, and you wouldn't need a harness, but I was wondering how heavy the vest is. Katie has the most magnificent thick pure silk coat, but I cut it, because she was so hot! I hated cutting her hair, but it was done out of love for her. I could not let my baby be hot just because I loved her long hair. She looks like a little doll now, and she runs so freely and is much happier. Still, if this would help her deal with the heat, I'd get it, but the vest might be better. This photo is of Katie with her breeder. It was shorter with me, but it was still long. It's much shorter now. She's still adorable, with the cutest little body and beautiful face and tail. She is much prettier and cuter than that photo. Dog Cooling Coat - Hurtta Pro Collection Hurtta Cooling Coat Hurtta Free Hand Leash. I still love my Buddy Belrs, and although this is heavy, I also love it. Use code Havanese10 for 10% discount |

Oh I've seen the Hurrta coat before but like you, I thought of how it could potentially ruin her BB's. The harness vest seems like the perfect solution though I'm wondering how heavy it is once wet, too. Here's my Sophie. |
I am curious once it is wet will it mat their hair. Especially if it is on the longer side. |
what a great idea, even though we are in MI it gets to hot for Lola, we hit 80' yesterday and when we went to bed last night she was panting so hard that I had to get up and put some cool water on her. I am going to get one of these. Thanks for posting about it. |

There is someone here in Canada who makes these as well. Last year when I was at a dog festival it was very hot out...there were many dog owners purchasing these. In fact, the retailer was letting them try them on their dogs for free as they walked around the grounds. All the dogs seemed much more comfortable wearing them in the heat. |

No Teri. I didn't have Wallee there but my neighbor bought one for his greyhound and loved it. |
