Tail waggers and spinners Teddy is a major tail wagger. He also spins when he is excited, or he turns a single circle to show approval or to say "yes." When we are getting ready to go out, Teddy spins all the way from the kitchen to the garage. I don't know how he manages not to get dizzy. Do you have a tail wagger and/or spinner? |
Gina is very much a spinner and stub wagger, she spins all over the house if you have her treats or one of her toys, and bows and wags her stub, when playing with one of us or the cats. Cheers Quad & Gina:aimeeyork |
Yes! Oh my gosh, Mylee is a spinner. We've counted up to 50 times. Of course that is with us cheering her on. Moka wags her tail and jumps (which I scold her for because she jumps and bends at the same time and often lands wrong and I'm scared she's going to hurt herself) and Mylee spins. I always thought it was related to her hip problems. Maybe it's normal. Lol. She has affectionately earned the nickname spinner bait from my fishing DH . |
yes both I agree with Maximo about spins when he is excited, When we are getting ready to go out on walk or when he gets treats he spins from the kitchen to the living room :D |
Zoey spins from the kitchen to another room where she eats in the mornings. |
Oh yippity yeah. Alfie wags his full tail like you think it will fall off and spins like a top to get a new squeaky toy, until you throw the ball, when he sees he is getting a treat, when somebody comes to the house and he gets them one of his balls to throw........wagging spinning top here for sure. |
Barney is a wagger. He can cool off a room if he's excited enough. Anna is a spinner. I'm glad to hear others spin also. I have always been a little worried because she spins so much when she's excited. I didn't realize it was common. |
my last girl Matese was a spinner, I always said I should have named her Spinner. |

Callie is a big tail wagger especially when people first come in the house but she is at least slowly wagging it most of the time but she only spins if I tell her to lol. If you even look at Sammy he will start wagging his little nuby also if toys or food are involved he will spin a lot sometimes on just his back legs and sometimes on on four. |
If you are talking about standing on their two back legs and twirling around and around until they get what they want, or when they are excited.....then my girls do that too. We call it dancing. The three girls also walk a lot on their two hind legs standing up.....don't know why they do this...funny. |
Rasta is a spinaholic! At breakfast/dinnertime, he spins. If I go in another room than him then come back he spins...basically if he's not right next to me and I "magically" reappear by coming back in the room he spins it's so cute!!! |
Maggie is a big tail wagger although she doesn't have much of a tail, but when it gets going, it's so cute...her tail looks a lot like a bunny rabbit's tail...they will both spin if I have a treat for them and ask them to twirl...but when Maggie gets excited, she will "hop" from side to side, she's too cute when she does that...(maybe she has some bunny in her!?) |

Aww I wish I had a spinner. The closest thing Lola does is rub against my legs like a cat, she'll either circle around or do figure 8's around my ankles. |
P-Nut can practically wag his little stub off, but he doesn't spin. If we leave Pickles alone for any length of time, he spins and spins while wagging as soon as we come home. So cute! |
Yes, Tiki wags her lil stub tail (I keep hair on it longer so she shakes it like a pom pom), and she spins. She was so excited when my daughter's big 100 lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback came over today that she didn't stop spinning for 10 minutes. |
Lol cute thread. Wylie is a major wagger, as is Marcel. Pfeiffer is a wagger, a spinner and jump-spinner (where she'll jump as she's spinning) :p. |
Loll funny Teddy, I bet he likes that dizzy feeling!:D Momo & Turbo spin when they're getting their meals. It's so cute, wish I can get it on video. Princess doesn't spin but she stands on her hind legs like a capuchin monkey & Mimi's signature is the downward dog w/butt in the air & her tail wagging a mile a minute. Quote:
