I am surprised it stuck like that...and for three weeks? I would think bathing would have removed it. I would probably call the vet and ask about it.
checking YT first, will call vet if I cannot get it removed. Thank you

LOL, sorry. I meant the new hair growing under the adhesive. You may almost have to scrape it (the softened adhesive) off with your fingernails. You can buy coconut oil in the natural section of your grocery store or any health food store. It's used mainly
for cooking. It's a solid at room temp and then quickly liquifies. It smells delicious! Bonus with the count oil, it's awesome to use in between shampoos to soften the dog's hair and work out mats.
Thank you, if the olive oil does not work, I will get the coconut oil on Monday. Thank you for this info.

Now that you say can be gotten in hardware store, I had purchased that once, to remove gum off cement sidewalk. OMG, the hair on my neck just stood on end. What is used on cement, can be used on dogs skin???? Thank you VERY much for this info and juggling my memory cells that are filled with so much useless information.

My 2nd Yorkie got stuck in those sticky glue rodent traps... one on each foot, and he tried to chew them off, so all around his muzzle. I used mechanics hand cleaner (GoJo) at the sink and just did a small area at a time. Cleanser, rinse, Dawn, rinse, Dawn rinse... till done. Then a bath with shampoo and conditioner.

OMG mouse sticky's, some years back when I had my Matese, I had a mouse sticky under the sink cabinet, Matese was able to open all cabinets, she was my mighty hunter, I had to tie the handles together, I had visions of her getting into the cabinet and coming out with the sticky stuck to her nose and me driving her to the vet to get it removed. iyiyi. Thank goodness the adhesive is on his hind quarters and not near his face. What these lil munchkins get into. Thanks for sharing.

I would like to thank everyone who responded to my question. The olive oil worked. Upon closer inspection while removing the olive oil, there was just a slight residue of adhesive, when they removed the pain patch it was like an eye brow waxing, the adhesive removed ALL the hair, ouch, the hair is growing, it's just MUCH shorter then where he was shaved. Again thank you all.
