Teething Question Is a face cloth soaked in water, put in the freezer till its frozen. Is this helpful for teething? They can chew on it and the cold will soothe the pain. Has anyone tried this? |

I've never tried it, but it sounds like a great idea to me! Unless he is able to pull it apart - I wouldn't want him to swollow any of the cloth... |
Works for kids...don't know why it wouldn't work for a furbaby! :) |
My mom did it with her Golden Retriever and it worked great..she loved it! |
I've used frozen face cloths as well. I cut them into 4 pieces, roll them up like a cigar and freeze them in a plastic baggie. It works well, as long as you don't mind a bit of water on the floor after it has melted. I also freeze baby carrots for teething as well! |
My pup is 4 months old now - but certainly has been teething...chewing everything, biting a lot, etc. However, I'm not sure that he has been very uncomfortable. He has done all these things in a constant playful manner. As far as washcloths go - a wet (wrung out) washcloth has always been one of his favorite toys. He usually gets it away from me when I am washing his face and runs like a little demon all over the house playing with it. My older 4-year-old Bichon (long past the teething stage) loves to play with a damp washcloth just as much. And, it's always a great thing to play a little gentle tug-of-war with. They both love this. Carol Jean |
I have given Cali a washcloth that I wet and put in the freezer. She loves it. |
Teething Question I bought one of the braided rope toys, soaked it in water, put it in a plastic bag and then in the freezer. It is refreshing, especially in the summer and also soothing to the gums. After using it I re-soak it and then put it back in the plastic bag and then into the freezer. |
