They wait has been extended :( Well, I'm bummed out. My baby girl from my "Think Pink" campaign won't be mine after all. As some of you know I am planning on breeding and this girl will definitely be too small. I'm pretty bummed but I know I'm doing the right thing by waiting. My breeder told me to wait - she's expecting another litter soon by a different mom and she also knows another family expecting a litter. I've known this since last week - but I'm so hesitant to post when it comes to breeding. It's such a touchy subject around here. So I guess the wait is still on. I'm heartbroken, but I know it's for the best in the longrun... |
It'll all work out. Just be patient and the perfect one will come along. :) |

I know - you're right. I've given this advice to other YTer's a bunch of times! But it still stinks. At least I still have 2 more at home to love... |
Oh I'm sorry you are let down but the right one will come...and be worth the wait :) |
Yes, having to wait does rather stink, doesn't it? :( You know deep down that it is better to wait. ;) I can understand why you may be hesitant to post, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. You are taking the proper steps to develop your program, IMO, and are doing everything you can to appropriately prepare you. That is all anybody could do. I highly commend you for realizing she was just going to be too small and holding off, hard as it is to do. IMO, that is what any respectable breeder would have done, so it sounds like you are already a step ahead of alot out there in this world! :) Good Luck! |
"Good things come to those who wait!" I hate waiting too, for ANYTHING!!! :D You are doing the right thing, though, by waiting for a larger pup!! You know that, and you are a GOOD PERSON to know that! :D But it still doesn't take the sting away, does it? :( |

Not really, but thanks for trying!!! ;) |
You are doing the right thing.. I am so sorry this little girl didn't make the cut.. :( But your breeding program will be better for it... :) It is sad to know someone doesn't want to post of fear of what other's might think or if they would be judgemental... :( Just know that we experienced breeders were in your shoes at one time, just getting started... I think most of us just try to stress to know what you are getting into. Doing the research and to have help on your first few litters to get aquainted with what can and will go wrong, so you will not be broken hearted from losing a female and/or pups. Not to judge, but to educate. Or at least when I post to threads that is my objection. It is a passion that takes a lot of work and if you are ready, I send you my Best Wishes and know that we are Here for You. |

Thanks a lot - this means a lot to me. Honestly, breeding is the first thing in my life I have felt passionately about. I know it's what I want to do. I have been doing research for about a year and I will continue to do more up until and after the first litter is delivered. I love this place and it is important to me that I have the support of members while I go through this. Thanks again! |
Waiting is not on my list of things I am good at either, but I conmend you in that you are doing everything right in becoming a responsible breeder. You shouldn't be hesitant to post because of a few posters who like to stir things up around here. |
Awww...sorry to hear that! I hope you will get your girl soon! |

Still being a new breeder (IMO) thank you for making this simple, yet touching statement. That is very comforting to hear and reassuring to know that all of you 'veteran pro breeders' were once in our shoes! Thanks!!! :) |
Don't be heartbroken!!! Having to wait longer for a more acceptable little mother is not on my list of life's tragedies. This is not a sad thing at all. I give you a lot of credit for doing the right thing with the only downside being your having to wait a little longer . The pluses far outweigh any possible problems a smaller mother and her pups might experience. This should more than offset any impatience you might be feeling. Congrats to you! I wish everyone approached breeding the way you are. Hang in there - good things are worth waiting for. Carol Jean |
Awww...I know how excited you were about getting your girl, but you will get her when the time is right. It stinks to have to wait though! You will do great, just keep doing your research in the meantime. Good luck :) |
