No love I just got my Yorkie Ava 2 weeks ago. First days were great, but now, she ignores me. If my adult children or teenager call her, she excitedly responds... I love her to pieces, but it's not returned. What can I do? |
Welcome to YT:p How old is she? Assuming she's been checked out at the vets and is fine, she probably just needs more time:) |
Just give her some time, she will come around |
Aww, that must be frustrating and difficult to not take personally. But like others have said, give her some time. Perhaps she has trust issues. You can never tell with little dogs sometimes. They can be so finicky. |
you can try and hand feed her....see if that makes a difference. And only you do it, not the kids |
play as much as you can with her, when ever she does a good deed like pee pee or poop where she is supposed to, give treats, praise, praise, praise, these lil critters demand a lot of attention, lots of happy dances from mommy, even for smallest deed, like eating all her food, even drinking water, happy mommy dances. Pick her up and cuddle her praising all the time. I have never had a pup reject me, but if I did, this butt of mine would be doing happy dances all over the house, she will join in with you, get excited, think it's a new game. Good luck. |
My Gracie loves young people. She is just so excited to play with youngsters. Can't say that I blame her. She is still a kid herself. She always comes back to sit on my lap or follow me around but when it's play time off to the youngsters she goes! |
