Name for new Yorkie on her papers (help)
 
Hello everyone!
I am new to this group. We just got our yorkie four days ago. We are in love! I am trying to find a good name to put on her papers. Her name is Maggie. I am not going to show her or anything but still want to give her a name. She is small. 7 1/2 weeks and 1 pound 4 ounces. So, Here are a few of the names I was thinking.
"Mini Miss Maggie Moo"
"Miss Waggy Maggie Moo"
Little Miss Maggie Moo"
I have never done this before so I don't even know if these are good. I am open to suggestions. I tried to upload a pic but couldn't get it to work. Still trying to figure this site out!!

I like Little Miss Maggie Moo too.

Our little girls name is Maggie too. :D enjoy her being small, because it doesn't last very long. Our little girl was an even 2 lbs when she came to live with us. A month later she is up to 3.2 lbs and doesn't even look the same. They change so fast.

My Maggie is actually Southern Magnolia on her papers :)

Well it looks like we have a winner!! Thank y'all all for your input!!! To the other Maggie Mother, I love the name you used "Southern Magnolia"!!!! I am from Louisiana so that would have fit had I thought of that! But as you see I'm not that clever :))! Anyway, looking forward to being in this group and thanks again!!

I just realized there are two People with Maggie's! I guess Maggie is a popular name! We also thought about Hallie(Halle) or Mia. But once I said Maggie, my husband and two little boys said,yes, that's what we want, we love that. Then they started calling her Maggie. So that was that she's been Maggie since!

Well I just realized there are two others with yorkies named Maggie! I didn't realize it was so popular! I also wanted Hallie/Halle, or Mia. But once I said Maggie, my husband, six year old son, and 3 year old son, all screamed Yes, and started calling her Maggie... So that was the end of that :)

My Maggie/Magnolia is actually a papillon but she is ruled by our yorkie Lilah lol

Maggie was the first name my guy said. We are car people and we were trying to come up car related names. Everything sounded good for a little boy. Turbo, Piston.....then he said Maggie Supercharger and then Maggie just took off.

Do you find that you run into a lot of other dogs named Maggie? I want her name to be not SOO common. I also thought of Minnie because she is small and also looks like a little mouse to me (that's just my opinion though)...but I think we are gonna stick with Maggie!!

Have you thought about just switching up the pronunciation of the name? Instead of a lower case 'g' sound, say it with a upper case 'g' sound. So the name would be Maggie but you would pronounce it (Ma-Gee). Its cute and more unique :) Just a thought

Little Miss Maggie Moo sounds great! Make sure to read up on hypoglycemia and get some Nutrical when raising a pup so young. She's beautiful.

Thanks for all of the name suggestions RachelJ. Yorkie Fan, I have Been reading about hypoglycemia and am for sure keepin an eye on her and feeding her often. I heard mixed reviews about giving nutrical at 7 weeks. I took her to the vet two days after getting her and they said she was healthy but I forgot to ask about but the nutrical. She goes for second round of shots on April 15 so I'll be sure to ask then. Or may even give them a call tomorrow. She is 7 1/2 weeks and 1 pound 4 ounces. Do any of y'all have any experience with that. I wasn't looking for a super small yorkie but really wanted a female and this was the only one he had because he was waiting for her a good home.He checked me out completely and gave me an awesome deal for her because he said he would only let her go to a good home because she should only be between 3-4 pounds. As we all know though, that is just an estimate and she could exceed that. Which I do not mind. I just fell in love with her when I met her! Any advice and tips you have is very appreciated!!!!

I wouldn't worry about having a common name. Although I love the creative and unique names of Yorkies here, sometimes a "common" name just works. Max and Teddy are very common, but they fit my boys sooo well. :)

Nutrical and plain white Karo are great to have on hand for an emergency, but I wouldn't give either as a scheduled supplement. If she is eating and drinking well, she doesn't need it.

I'll defer to the experts on the vaccinations. The only one I am sure of is rabies -- wait until she is close to 6 months old.

My AKC chow I used to have in the 80's was named after a car theme too. On his papers his name was racer x Rex , from the speed racer cartoon :-)

Nope, besides the forums I haven't come across another dog named Maggie. I like be different too, but when a name falls into place then you just have to go with it.

I get more people say, hey did you name her after Maggie from The Walking Dead or people say you should get another one and name it Glenn. I didn't understand this, because I never watched The Walking Dead. So I start watching last weekend and I am hooked.
