zukes customer service I called zukes a few weeks ago, because chester didnt like the zukes z ridge bones, even though I ordered them from pet mountain, they did change the formula. I was impressed by there customer service, they sent me 11 bags of treats and sent me 52 dollar to cover the bones, and I sent the bones back to them. I asked them about the nestle buyout and she said nothing would change and they would still do there own thing, they needed the financial backing to expand there business. |
well that's good to know but they put garlic in most of their treats which is on the yorkie toxic list so we dont feed them to much of that brand anymore unless I find ones without garlic in them. :) |

Wow thanks Teri that is good to know as I had to no idea if they say it's toxic why it is a lot of pet items!! This makes me feel better and gives me a much better understanding of garlic. :) |
Zukes was bought out by nestle which does Purina who did the Waggin train chicken jerky that was linked to hundreds of pet deaths so I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. It's no wonder they changed the ingredients they want to make them as cheap as they can so they can make a large profit. |
We had a member who said they talked to a vet nutritionist who said garlic is bad no matter the amount. |

I read the ingredients on the back of the treats and there is no mention of garlic. Am I missing it? |
Zuke's Mini Naturals Roasted Chicken Recipe Dog Treats I am no longer seeing it either and I know last year when I was at Laconia Pet Center it had garlic in it.....maybe they actually took that out of their products as your right it's not listed. |
on their actual site here is the response to garlic FAQ - Zuke's ? Healthy, Natural Dog Treats and Treats for Cats |

I have fed Avery Zuke's treats (a variety of their products) since we got him almost two years ago. He loves them and at his last wellness vet visit last month he had bloodwork done and was given an excellent bill of health. I'm not endorsing Zuke's treats I'm just passing along my experience with them. I don't know how long it would take using a product for negative results to show up either. It's just that it seems that whatever product you use there are always going to be some people who have a bad experience or problem with it. I think that's why wellness visits to the vet and bloodwork are important. I may want to keep a closer check on things now that I have read the company has sold. That can make a big difference. |
