I need a name....
 
I am getting a new puppy this weekend. A little girl. And she needs a name I want something different but girle.

Any one know a good website that I can search for different names??

Congrats on your new baby! :aimeeyork I like the name "Daphney"...."Lilly", "Chloe"...."Molly" I named mine "Bella" though....it just fit her better than all the other names I liked. :p

Alexa was a name I also considered with Mollie. You can do a search on google for puppy names, that's what I did.

I am a new yorkie owner and I wanted to name our baby cricket because she was black and jump all over the house like a cricket. We decided to go with Reesie because she looked like a Reeses peanut butter cup. We are so excited to have her. We also thought about Gucci because of how expensive she was. Good Luck!

I work in a bar, and I was going to name my yorkie Kahlua (she is kind of that color), but I went with Madori (it's a green liquor and I only use green boes in her hair!ha!) some other names I thought of were Martini, Soda, Zora, and Sushi. Good luck! I really had a hard time picking..it took me 4 days after I got her!

I like serious names for dogs--the irony cracks me up. Thus my "Edith". How about Martha? Always liked that name, and every Martha I have known was beautiful.

I wanted to name mine "Emma" or "Emmie" but my husband wanted a name that would go with our Maltese "Biscuit". He suggested "Gravy" but I put the kabash on that RIGHT AWAY! So we named her "Muffin". Biscuits and Muffins kind of go together, right? :rolleyes:

Me too!! My fiance really wanted to name our next pup Nancy. I thought it would be hilarious - Nancy, get down. Nancy, sit. Too funny.

I also know a guy who has 2 miniature poodles named Sophie & Edna. They're like 2 little old ladies. I love it!!

I went to babynames.com to look at all of the names on their when I chose my little girls names. But you have got alot of really good suggestions on here too. Congrats on the new baby.

If I ever get another Yorkie her name will be Claire...it's girly...not overly used and I don't think anyone on this huge site has a dog named Claire. It's a french name and very classy I think :)

We thought about Claire for our new pup!! Don't worry we're not using it though - you can still have it ;)

I love the name Madori!! and I agree- Gucci is a great symbolic name. We had our baby for 2 weeks before she got a name. We got her while we were in South Korea and we were trying to give her a fitting name. Hence- she became Miss Kim- aka- KimMee. The reason- the name Kim is like Smith in the US- everyone we met was either named Kim or Park and since she is a girl- we went with Kim. I guess my point being to all this is- what is your pup's heritage- like what area is she from-what are her parents names? Good luck and I know you are so excited to get her.

That's ok...I'll probably never get to use it as I am at my yorkie quoto, unfortunately ;)

I just did a "Claire" search on YT and found a post saying that there is a Champion named Claire. Here's what it said...By Yorkierose :)

They do win Best in Show..groups etc...there are hundreds of shows and you would have to see all the wins...in the Yorkshire Terrier mag they list all the stats in the ring for Yorks.
Go to INFODog.com and see wins from all over the country. Top bitch, "Claire" (Biss CH. Exmoor's I D' Claire at Jo-Nel) has many groups wins. Ava Tyree's CH Wyatt has 5 group ONE and about 20 other group placing wins..
Parkside's Ch. Piano Man is has a BIS.. too many others to name..
My Charlotte's sire is a BIS..and BISS..Best In Specialty Show winner.

I think I was wrong about no one on YT having a yorkie named Claire!! I think Yorkierose has a dog named Claire!!! Sorry :D Maybe she will see this and confirm! :)

Nevermind...I just saw another post of hers and she definitly has a Yorkie named Claire! But I think she may be the only one! I think it's a beautiful name:)

How about "Daniro" because of how expensive they are. I dont really know if that is the correct spelling but you could call her 'Dani" for short. :aimeeyork good luck with your new baby!
